@Geep>what i love MOST abt Lyle's music is that it's DECEPTIVELY simple on the surface, but so intricately wound and intelligently written that you never knew what hit you til it's over - and you want MORE! nobody else can match him for sophisticated humor, intelligence and foot stompin melody; in a class by himself. agree w/slugg63 - Joshua Judges Ruth is his finest hour - consistently brilliant -ditto the LIVE in TEXAS cd (be prepared to get OFF the COUCH!! :)

Have never been a Lyle Lovett fan but after hearing a couple of his songs over the last few days I just love him. I always thought he was unattractive but it is amazing when someones personality shines through how beautiful they can look.

I saw Lyle Lovett with the large band and then Bonnie Raitt then both together in Nashville in 1989 it was great had back stage passes and didn't know it till I looked in Walt Richmond's Envelope everyone in the industry was back stage. Wow I wonder why. Great

Thanx for posting this! And I'll have to go find the cd "live". And to everyone who post Lyles stuff, including his posts, thanx! If you're into spending a bit of money, find "Joshua Judges Ruth" and Pontiac". Owned them for years and Lyle's best in this style. :)
