yep, especially on average machines, i guess one needs to have a quad core and a highend video card, to make the recording smooth enough. :D
In fairness to the creator though, he insisted from the start that this tool isn't for game recording, there's another tool for that, i kinda forgot the name :(
yeah, that wouldn't work since the program doesn't know the X windowing system, nor does wine have have a mapping for it, so you either have to capture your linux desktop natively by using recordmydesktop, xvidcap, etc.. or a camcorder, heheh

i used wine to download hypercam 2 so it would work on ubuntu. but it ends the hypercam process when u try to record
so......... fail.

get warcraft 3 for windows , if you have set up ubuntu already then install wine, after installing wine, execute warcraft 3 installer.
