Tori is a fucking goddess, simply put, all others will always fall short. She is insanely talented, sexy as fucking hell, and I absolutely love her. Oh and I am very jealous of that piano bench she sits on wishing it could be my face!! hee,hee
does anyone know where I can find that video where tori yells at the lady "Lady in a white shirt do you fucking mind, for 5 minutes, do you fucking mind. I forget what song it is on "
@cirquedude123 I think you're forgetting "Song for Eric", beautiful and entirely a cappella. Also, "The Pool", but this one has got a sort of choir in it.
She was filmed at SONY HQ with the childrens chorus of PS 22 (NYC?) about inner city kids 90% of color all under-12?
THEY WENT FRIKKEN BANANAS ABOUT HER!
The Chior teacher asks the kids-who know her songs by heart is looks like- are asked there favorite TA song; a loud shout of "DRAGON!" erupts from the group' The Choir leader in an aside to Tori, mentions that they "Play DRAGON all the time in Choir practice-THE EDITED VERSION OF COURSE!"
I was there too, I could hear pretty good being in the center..my fav part during this song was obviously when she sang "But, I believe that she is a devil bitch!"

Love this song but I hate it when a band plays a song differently live, like you've listened to this special song over and over, you treasure it, every special note, and when they do it differently it's like their butchering it.
it's like play the song right.Like when Nirvana played live, they stuck to script,Kurt never added 2 extra mins to a song by chanting heroin is good or anything. He played the song exactly how it was recorded because that's what it's all about, not the artist, the song.
no offense dude. but i believe you were 14 when kurt cobain died. nirvana most definitely did change up their songs occasionally. everyone does. it's the only way to keep interested in your own songs after you've played them 500 times. I for one would rather hear an impassioned but different version of a great song than hear a bored person stick to the script. anyway, if i wanna hear a song played exactly like the album i'll save the ticket money and just listen to the album at home.
Exactly so, I find it very boring when a performer plays live and everything is so 'perfect and precise' that you don't feels as though you are at a concert...Pink Floyd are a bit neurotically loyal to their original versions which is why they have to compensate with all those visual gimmicks and props to make their live performances worth the effort of travelling miles to see. I've seen Dylan live a few times and sometimes it takes hearing half a song to even recognise it -which is hilarious!
I'm interested in your comment, because I especially love different live versions - you know, just to see how the artist can spin his sound a different way. I love that. Then you have often two favorites of one song. Not always, but many times. Although I know what you are talking about too. There are times you want to hear it as you've always heard it, but overall I'm open to artistic experimentation. after all, the release is often a very produced and packaged affair.
I completely disagree with such an anally retentive remark, the wonderful thing about live performances is that it doesn't feel as though you're listening to a cd...the spontanaity and freshness of a live performance and the deviations which the performer has every right to make just add to the experience.
Bob Dylan changes his songs during live gigs almost beyond recognition and why shouldn't he...it's part of what makes him such an original and versatile artist.
I'm always eager to hear how Tori would reinterpret her songs, especially with each new theme that arises when she puts out another album. The plugged version of "Waitress" with its long hang 10 ending is still one of my favorite versions.
I still hyperventilate trying to gasp "wait ait ait ait ait ress" at the very end; it's just the best!
All The Waitresses from this your have been amazing, but this one hits the top! This is literally right from the plugged your. Everything! Her voice is on every note, her little growls, the ending (sessions at west 54th) this was AMAZING!! You lucky duck!
I agree, I thought the Nokia theater sounded weird - very corporate is the only way I can describe it. Could hear no bass guitar at all - only sub frequencies on the bass. Could not make out one note that Jon was playing - Tori's sound is always top notch, so I'll have to agree it was more than likely the theatre
did anyone else have a hell of a time trying to hear the piano?
i was off to the far left maybe that's what it was but also i could barely hear the keyboard for 'Cruel' or 'Tombigbee'. it was weird. normally she has top sound quality and this was such a kick-ass performance. i'm blaming the Nokia.
thank you. if you noticed, everyone standing and having the best time was in the center. the sides were sitting. we were close too but the speakers aimed away from us. really bad acoustics. i've seen her stop shows to fix the tiniest things. if i ever HAVE to go to the Nokia again, i'll be in the middle even if it's all the way in the back. thanks again. i was pissed. i guess they really aren't building 'em like they used to.

I've been to so many concerts where the song are exactly the same as they are on the record. Tori forever!

She asks the kids to sing to her-and they start on DRAGON
A bunch of SONY PR suits are hanging around.
Someone is filming all this.
As the children sing-the camera op turns to view Tori.
S/he holds the shot on her then does a slow close up: she is WEEPING openly!
