Yeah you can bend the sound chip, but most of the time the Megadrive will just lock up and crash. It seems to depend on the game though, I got a very cool, minimal soundtrack from Xenon 2, but everything else just simply crashes.
@dachhh It was renamed Genesis for the North American Market. From Wikipedia:
'Sega used the name Mega Drive for the Japanese, European, Asian, Australian and Brazilian versions of the console. The North American version went by the name "Genesis" due to a trademark dispute.'
Don't worry, the machine still works perfectly if I remove all the wires. I quite like the old games myself. This video was shot before I got Sonic The Hedgehog. Maybe I should update it.
meh. yep id go with art. i bent my own megadrive and now its a box capable of millions and millions of unique images and videos. give the guy a break!

@JamesTVideos The system was known as the Sega Mega Drive in most countries, but it was known as the sedan Genesis in North America and Canada.

It's not really possible to explain art, you either like it or you don't.

Another short question: Art? This? Arrogance?

sadly, most of my megadrive games hang when I try to bend the sound chips. Xenon2 is one exception.
