The iPad is able to print....there are a few apps that you can get for that....it does everything,makes phone calls,text etc....

People do not expect a TV to be portable, therefore size does not matter much. In addition, all a TV does is display an image from another source. The iPad and iPod are expected to be portable and they run their own software. Given this, you would expect a larger device to have greater features due to it sacrificing portability. But it barely offers more.

Build quality and web browsing are good. The OS and keyboard are a joke.

Bottom line: don't give your money to this greedy and fanboy infested company. Don't get me wrong, their Macs are good products, but mostly everything else is just a rich, gloryhunting fanboy cult.

Also, the reason iPads are so hard to get is because Apple is controlling the consumer demand; independently of wether or not they can make enough iPads for everyone on time, if they keep their new shiny devices scarce there will be more product demand, so they will sell more units at a more steady pace for a longer time. It wonrked for Nintendo´s Wii and its gonna work for the Ipad aswell

You're right I'm from Mexico and I went to the states on vacation last week and I went to best buy and pick up a MacBook pro 15" no problem and then I ask for an 16 wifi iPad and there where any left only 32 3G where available so that's what I get and I don't regret I highly recommend it.

I heard the Ipad is like a laptop crossed over with a Ipop Touch thats apparently what it is but I think it looks fantastic. I would prefer to get the Ipod Touch since I already have a laptop and the Ipod Touch is just a small hand held dvice that is reallly handy.

@therevivedone: Research, bub. The 3G components are very expensive to make and install into these devices. Why do you think cell phones purchased off contract are so high in price? The average 3G radio costs $98 to manufacture.

And, there are plenty of other free ways to watch your team on your iPad wherever you are without paying the ridiculous $99 subscription fee for MLB.tv, and the MLB at Bat app is a $15 glorified scoreboard. ESPN.com's mobile website gives you the exact same stats.

@TheGeeksDesk I'll admit I expected the radio to be much less expensive, but I still haven't seen an estimate at that price. However, IMO, the reason phones are so expensive unsubsidized is greed. Phones don't have to be that expensive, especially considering the cost of the components, but prices off contract are bloated to help carries, and pay for R&D.

Moreover, ESPN's website doesn't allow me to watch the games. Plus, a friend has MLB.tv and shares with me so I only had to pay for the app.
