I enjoyed the sophomore album a lot more than the first as I thought that the thrashy verse riffs on 'Machinery' were repetitive and not very dynamic, i.e. a lot of the same notes were employed from song to song; the choruses were, of course, fantastic. On 'Collisions', the verse riffs are much more interesting. However, on this song, the main verse riff employs a drastic change of speed and feel, which i didn't think fit with the other parts. But that's just my opinion. Good song in any case.
