They came before and after the herse because they were protecting the family from the Westboro church. The soldiers Dad lead the procession on his bike.
Was that a parade? It was 5 minutes worth of bikes and cars, but I never saw the coach? I guess we just do things different in the NW. We put 5 bikes (with big flags) in what we call a missing man formation in front of the coach, then all of the rest of the bikes and cages fall in behind the coach and family. I watch this and think about how great it is that all of these folks came out to support, but to me 5 minutes of vehicles and bikes takes so much away from our hero. He should be leading.
