Tv-B-Gone cycles through lots of frequencies of commonly known (and lesser known) tv brands. So yes, it can turn off any tv as long as it uses IR to connect with a remote.

i like jupiters first quote yet i assume he is being "controlled" by the computer more than the tv. so therefore he looks down on the tv people(me). He probably gets his news online, then goes to blogs about ppl doing things wrong for the environment or "drones" watching tv. I agree everyone watches tv too much but i cant criticize cuz i'm one of those ppl and by the way i dont really care but this rant will take up the character count. So i guess i mean, u should shut the self righteous crap.

I haven't said that I wasn't being controlled. Though I bet there are far more news sites than TV channels. I try to read different news sites and also different newspapers, in order to get as close to an unbiased opinion as possible. Well, in France, there used to be only 6 TV channels, 3 of them being private. Now, there are around 20, but you need a set-top box to decode them.

Yeah TV can be annoying and there are times when there is just some dumb thing from CNN about some celebrity on a TV in a store or office and I wish they would put something better on. But Anti-TV people are starting to be real snobs now. It's like the people who feel superior drinking tap water.
