I was quite horrified to learn that I hadn't commented on this before.

If anything, I love the incessant ticking you hear in the beginning of the track. Gives a constant, "Time is running out!" feel. The steadily increasing tempo and volume really add to the sense of inherent danger to it. Later on at 2:35 when things start getting chaotic and disjointed and the ticking speeds up, it reminds you of just how close you are to the end of all existence.

This brings back so many memories. I remember getting frustrated at the last..."form" of the boss (when he charges at you like crazy), I just yelled a lung out and threw the controller. Minutes later I was playing again XD

i like the final boss because of the references to time it makes:

it has a clock instead of eyes and a mouth (clock face)

it has one hand bigger than the other (hour and minute hand reference)

microsoft and artoon thought of clever things for the final boss

lol i haven't played it for a year now but i started playing it yesterday and i forgot how much fun it is! i love the music in it too! i got this game the first game it came out and i remember it taking me a couple years but i finally completed it (finishing the final boss) when i was 8. VERY fun game. i am 13 now lol and i am still playing this game! haha.

@SammyTheHedhehog The 1st and 2nd phases are easy, the 3rd phase is impossible without all the time controls, and the last phase, you need to jump as soon as he starts ramming.
