  • From an old Sacred Harp singer. You girls really did a great job, singing the notes, playing the banjos and singing the old song. LOVE IT!!

  • y'all are just plain beautiful. i LOVE how the banjos play the different harmonies. I have to go to a singing one of these days.. i'm fascinated by the sound.

  • Unbelievably Good.

  • Wow, I love this. I sing shape note in Cork city, Ireland, and I can't wait to show this to the people I sing with... Very beautiful.

  • @Sadhbhishness Check out their rendition of 230, Converting Grace. Beautiful!

  • Why don't you have a multi-million dollar recording contract yet?

At the very least, do you have a website where I could buy CDs?

  • Only one minor thing--I like the way the Sacred Harp does the rhythm on "praise God." There's a dotted rhythm on "praise" that I think is really cool. Here, you've switched it to two notes on "God." I'd be happy if you'd put it back the way it is in SH because I think that way is musically more interesting. Overall, though, great, and I enjoy your music!

  • Please make a CD. I'd buy it.

  • this as beautiful and even more so than some of the greatest folk recordings ever. goddamn, you girls do it well...i'm a metalhead with an undying love of old time that stems from growing up with shape note singing....man, this is good to see, you are awesome!

  • Outstanding! Please post more soon!

  • I just stumbled on you guys last nite. You really play with such good taste and skill I could listen all night!

  • I am very impressed by the banjo harmonies and Sacred harp combo. I am glad I found your music. I am a huge Tim Eriksen fan. I am sure you all are too. Keep it up......music is a gift from God, and I am sure it pleases Him to hear your blended voices and harmonies! Great job!!!

  • sorry to post two comments in a row but also i am curious what edition of the sacred harp you use?

  • hey,

what make of banos do you two play? do you ever play out? so good!

  • Maggie plays a gibson tenor transformed into a 5 string. Molly plays a Ramsey. We use the 1991 edition of The Sacred Harp.

  • You girls just get better and better. When is your CD out and where can I buy it? There is a special magic in the harmony of your voices and instrumental playing...so rare!

  • Amazing - everything about this just sounds so right. Well done!

  • Sweet music! It brings a little peace to my soul. Thanks!
