Both martial arts have the same origins meaning the different martial art styles of chinese and japanese families. The crucial difference between them is that kung fu is a more complete martial art due to the fact that it has been around for longer and also it was more successful in assimilating those styles.Karate is not as complete. There is a martial art(which was named mistakenly traditional karate) which is based in these(most of them) martial art styles.
why don't they show him getting in the position and then, coming off the position?
i would like to see the complete process and not just an old man sitting in the floor, doing hocus pocus with the finger e suddenly up side down, without showing how he got there and came out there.
lmao hocus pocus hahahaha you sound fucking stupid you shouldnt live in the time of computers you should have lived in the time where if someone was a witch you would have had to throw them in the water and if they were able to swim they were witches get the fuck outta here

Hey to all u people who marked this as "kung Fu" u are right, but u prbly didn't know that kung fu is the chinese version of karate and is derived from karate.
ur a dumass no offence kung fu was first from shaolin temple then other martial art came.he is channel his chi which is qicong(kung fu)not japanese karate whcih came much later!
@Rohan4basu kung fu did not originate in shaolin there were many chinese martial arts before the shaolin. shaolin kung fu originated in the temple but thats it
No way! Okinawa (Southern island of japan) people learned Chinese martial arts and developed their own skills into Karate. Thus it came from China, not vise versa. This video says at the end he is a monk in a shaolin temple. Kanfu is one style of Shaolin. Can not call it Karate.
@Ceniot Hey idiot. Karate is derived from kung fu, which is derived from an ancient greek form that I am unaware of. This man is a shaolin monk, or former shaolin monk performing his iron finger skill. Karate and Kung fu only have a few similtarities.
@Ceniot what? kung fu and karate are much different...and kung fu came from some kind of martial art from India and then it maybe affected origins of karate so your explanation is quite wrong
@tchlubna not true shaolin kung fu as it is today had its origins from india when bodydharma came to the monistary but china had martial arts for a lot longer then that both china and india had styles completly indipendant of each other
@Ceniot you sir are a moron kung fu simply means skill from effort and karate comes from kara meaning empty and te meaning hands. but karate is the child of various styles that originated in the ryukyu islands and chinese kenpo the chinese martial arts are far older then karate you need to learn about the history of martial arts before you open your mouth
@Ceniot This man was a chinese monk and this is one of kung fu ways for training differents parts of the body. And Chinese kung fu is not derived from karate. In okinawa (where karate was created by influence of chinese martial monks) the actual Okinawan Karate was known as "chinese hand" in his begginings. After years they developed his own style (and diferent schools as uechi ryu, shito ryu...) creating the original karate, Okinawan Karate

@Ceniot Karate came from Kung fu you fucking idiot. Kung was created in China around 2698 BC, and Karate was not thought of until 1933. Suck my cock you mong.
HA! you are very funny, Kung Fu is the oldest, i repeat, THE OLDEST art form out there. karate is taken from Kung Fu, NOT the other way around, idc who told you, lol.

Kung Fu is a very ancient art. Karate derives from Kung Fu as Judo derives from Jiu-Jitsu. Chinese culture is older than japanese one.
