What's there to do in this game (the only thing to do in which I've found some fun) is to get 100% completion (Get all shields, get perfect on all potions etc ..)

Goblet of fire sucked, I played it only once and never touched it again. Order of phoenix had the greatest hogwarts and lots of tasks, but it lacked in wand combat. I own games 1-4 on PC. The 1st was good, but it didn't have a lot of replay value, and looks very dated. The 2nd and 3rd are still great. It's not that I didn't like the 4th, but the gameplay changed drastically. It played more like an RTS, where as the 1st 3 were basically action/adventure style. Never finished 4, although I did like the fact that it took on a more realistic graphical style, and made the characters look a lot more like their real life counterparts
I think they changed how the game works after the 3rd HP game because they wanted to aim at an older audience, and make the game feel darker, my fav HP games are the 2nd and 3rd but as the films got darker they want the games to mirror the darkness of the film, also the cast have gotten older, i think if they made all harry potter games like the 2nd and 3rd it would get kinda boring
Order of the Pheonix was my fave personally. So much to do, more spells. More interaction with the world. I felt like i was actually walking through hogwarts. HBP, it left out sooo much, smaller castle, bad faces and voices and and only like three charms you could cast. I like POA the second best.
@Hello94232 The school grounds are nearly identical to the previous installment. Some new areas are added, including the entrance to Hogwarts. Other areas previously accessible are now inaccessible due to the new security of Hogwarts added by the aurors. So I wouldn't call it smaller, since places that h is unlocked in this game should have been unlocked in the POA...
For the spell part, there was a reason why they removed it... Annoying as it is, I can't seem to find it...

I havent played this game yet, but by the sounds of it there isnt half as much to it is there was in Order of the Phoenix. Although the story in OOTP is quite short, there is TONS of exploring to do. So yeah, buy OOTP.
I have OOTP, and all it is is fetch quest after fetch quest, the exploring boils down to running along the corridors tidying the place up. Not all that exciting really.
First time I have seen gameweasel reviews... they seem very straight forward without giving away too much plot and spoilers. And certainly don't seem to be sugar coated live some are.
this isnt a verry good game i rented it and regreted it it gives away all the movie and achievements are just mainly natrual progression you dont realy earn them
I miss the old HP games. Those on Game boy color were RPGs, and very fun to play. COS on PC and POA on Gamecube were probably the best HP games since you could roam around free and the fighting was actually hard sometimes(especially in POA). And I wish you could talk to the students, it doesn't feel like an HP game anymore to mer :(

Actually fallout 3 is a rpg/shooter. Its mainly an RPG but it does have alot of shooting game elements. Dont get me wrong, i absolutley LOVE fallout 3, and i agree with everything else you wrote in your comment.
Its not just another shooting game, its more of an RPG than a shooting game. its easily the greatest game ever made. With a huge open world, tons of side quest, and a perfect levling up feature there is now way someone can sit down with fallout 3 and not have fun. Obviously you have never played the game, and u have very little knowledge of it, so i wont bash u to much. Just dont hate on fallout 3 again.

The game deserves at least 8/10 because of the freedom to wonder around the huge castle,good graphics(especially for the ps3 and wii) and fun gameplay!The only thing is that they should have made it LONGER but im one of the biggest Harry Potter fans ever so i cant say anything bad about this lol
good game, graphics are descent, the castle is the most complete castle yet and the gameplay is fun. however on the down side there are no classes any more and it only takes 4-6 hours to complete, the cut scenes are slightly rushed, but still a fun game to have a go on :)
this game rocks for me.. that's because I just love to run around that beautifull castle and try to find all the shield things :D... I know the way around hogwarts how nooby am I?

I never really care about most of todays films cause its the same boring CGI with live action which is getting dull every film.
by the look of the game it looks like well shit of course cause its a game based on the fucking film and only real fanboys who are proberly very nerdy people would be into this sort of game.
The game looks more like you go from one amateur cutscene to another it would be better if the game had more real gameplay than running around talking through 2 hour dialog.

true I was over reacting a lil bit sorry about that but I think most of us should easily predict the game is simply rubbish to most people but to people who into this kind of thing will love it.
Imo when it comes to long dialog and story for a game I can only put up with it on some game series like Final Fantasy 1-12 but oh well thats just me.

The game deserves at least 8/10 because of the freedom to wonder around the huge castle,good graphics(especially for the ps3 and wii) and fun gameplay!The only thing is that they should have made it LONGER but im one of the biggest Harry Potter fans ever so i cant say anything bad about this lol

good game, graphics are descent, the castle is the most complete castle yet and the gameplay is fun. however on the down side there are no classes any more and it only takes 4-6 hours to complete, the cut scenes are slightly rushed, but still a fun game to have a go on :)

I'm an obsessive HP fan but I have to agree with this guy, the game was dissappointing.
You can't even talk to the other students like in the other games
the duels are ridiculously easy, the whole game is actually
you should be able to play as ron also in quidditch because in the movie the quidditch parts are more focused on Ron.
also you should be able to play as dumbledore to kill the inferi. that fiery spell would be awesome to use. What were they thinking!
