Revelation 19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
Its got to be just her impression. He reads books. He looks up at a poster. He turns his face towards what he is doing. He must have eyes. Even if he had esp that would not explain it. Besides; Where exactly did his eyes go? They didn't seem to be removing eyes at Larkhill. It sure wouldn't help them find a viral strain any better. The fire didn't remove the eyes...so what happened to them? She didn't look real carefully, either.
My pc doesn't have that much detail but on the TV it looked like you could see him blinking through the light of fire reflected in them. It's faint, but they just look charred
@2345hahaha Yes it is. This is V. The reason he calls himself "V" is because he was in room 5. the roman numeral for 5 is "V". You know ... like Final Fantasy V. Should be self explanatory. ^_^
@2345hahaha Also keep in mind the whole 5th of novemeber bit. Which ties in with the roman numeral V and the Guy Fawkes date, in which Fawkes was attempting to blow up the parliament to overthrow the monarchy, and this the explosion at the facility. So you have the struggle between overthrowing the government and revenge, which both tie in nicely.
the man from room five is V. he wears a mask and does not want removed because he has a burnt face. and he said his hands were burnt from a fire, that one.
@deadtotheworld22 I highly doubt he's blind. He's quite aware of his surroundings for a blind man. Even a super human blind man (except for Daredevil) and there are numerous things that he does or that are implied he did that would require sight. For example, the dominos. You would need a lot more than ridiculous hearing to set that up. And all the works he has memorized. Which would require sight as under Adam Sutler, it would be impossible to find the audio versions of those works.
@Killzoneguy117 Maybe he was blind at one point but replaced his eyes with new ones. I mean he's smart enough to perform surgery upon himself, right? I mean you can clearly see he had no eyes when he destroyed Larkhill.
@mjp9mm Perform Surgery? On his own eyes? While he is blind? It doesn't matter how smart you are, doing that shit is just impossible. If you can do that shit, you have most likely made a deal with Lucifer at one point.
@mjp9mm I would explain it with something that makes more sense. Like without having him perform surgery on his own goddamn eyes. I would really like you to consider that for a second. I think it would make more sense if she was talking about his lack of eyes in a metaphorical context. Considering that she would only see a black figure against a smoldering ruin. If he can't see. How the hell is he gonna operate on an organ that is meant for sight?
@mjp9mm Now you see, that makes more sense. Although I still doubt it. Its heavily implied that he is working alone. I would still believe its in a metaphorical context.
@mjp9mm He has extremely developed senses, so he is able to see even without eyes. This may even border on being extra sensory perception. While I don't think it could be called psychic powers, he may be able to see without eyes, even if it is just by his highly developed hearing.
@Jarbizu800 There were certain things he did that would have to require sight, such as using his blades to cut into that Norsefire sign at the beginning of the film. He knew where the sign was and where to cut. What about the Fingerman's badge? Or the dominos he set up? But than again, he was able to sense Surridge's presence without using sight. Plus I doubt that the fire removed his eyes, prehaps it was part of the Larkhill experiment.
It could have also been that due to the shadows from the reflection of the fire, she couldn't see his eyes. There's also at one point in the movie that he's reading a book. Even with advanced kinesthesia, that would practically be impossible. He was reading like any other person would, as well. No hands along the pages as if he was trying to form the letters in his mind somehow.
@deadtotheworld22 There were no eyes. Meaning, She couldn't see his eyes to know FOR sure that he was looking at her. But she felt it. She knew he was looking at her. She now knew, that he knew who did this. And he was coming.
@Kodiak921 My god, I didn't realize that. Water and fire have represented female and male (respectively) in symbology throughout the ages. Water and fire are not really male or female, but when you see them in symbols you know what they're supposed to represent, and it is interesting to see this in my favorite movie.

Happy 5th of November everyone. Even though Guy Fawkes failed, the idea behind is actions will never be forgotten, and neither will this movie.

The eye comment is a bit odd innit? It does imply he's somehow blind.
deadtotheworld22 11 months ago
@deadtotheworld22
Given that he's shadowed, she could just have been so horrified and thought he lacked eyes.
QueenAleenaFan 9 months ago
@QueenAleenaFan yeah, it just seems like an odd comment. Especially the way it's shown in this, with the scarring and stuff.
deadtotheworld22 9 months ago
@deadtotheworld22 Think it's more poetic license on the part of the movie creators to somehow imply that he is justice ("Justice is blind...").
He's certainly not blind in the comic and I highly doubt he could manage all his fancy "karate gimmicks" without all his faculties...!
MrDucktastic 6 months ago
@MrDucktastic But she does say he shows an increase in kinesthesia, so maybe he's just ridiculously aware of his surroundings!
...Your idea is more likely though.
FireofSekhmet 5 months ago
@deadtotheworld22 Yeah I think your taking the eye comment to litterally.

@mrjonz72 I said it was odd, not that it was literally correct.
