  • Nice watch thou

  • i got one yesterday, its nice and im very proud of it.

  • Hey pal, if they sunriseset time and 24 countdown timer it would be the BEST!!

But not having these makes me see the prg 240.

    What do you think?

  • u have to take off the watch from your arm if u what to have the temperature ?

  • @ispt17 well yes. or else you'll get the wrong reading of temp.

  • Awesome watch. Just wondering,is there a watch that display both sunrise and sunset and also moon phase and tide graph? I take it this one doesn't include the first. Since there is a world time, does it show moon data for every time zone?

  • great watch

  • Man, that was really good review... I sick and tired of the people rotating the watch in front of the camera. It seems that you only one who actually gonna used it. presentation could be a bit smoother, but otherwise great stuff. THNX!

  • @AlexMorbid Hey thanks, I had it for a week than decided to do a review on it, I know more about it now. It was my first time doing this kinda thing, feeling helpful ya know. Hope you like the watch. There is a new one out, but this does everything I want it to. Elevation is decent, within 5 to 10 meters off without calibrating it.

  • awesome video with it's clarity. Do you know if this is solar powered or no? sorry got confused when u mentioned that the battery might run out at the end with the light.

  • @lazarra101 Yes it is solar powered, it has a 6 month power reserve to it. Check out the manual I posted below the video.

  • You're moving the watch around too much.

  • Had one of these in the new year and the battery never goes above the "M" setting and often drops out completely even when I don't wear it and no functions are operating.

  • I CANT SET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @tiffanykerley what country do you live in?

  • U.S.A

  • @tiffanykerley i got it :)

  • Could you please tell me if the bezel is made of titanium? if so, how did the coating last after wearing it? i always chose watches without any coating but it seems that these models all have a coating on the metal parts

  • i just received this watch but having a hard time calibrating it with daylight savings. i did a r/c on it but still goes to normal time without updating and i i dnt think u can change it manually? any advice?

  • @leostyle7771 check the manual posted on my description. There is a way to do it, from what i know is you have to set your time zone and then it will sync correctly.

    PDF manual/timekeeping. Hope it helps

  • hi!! i bought this watch.. 100% functional... even the atomic receiver... Is the best!

    I´m in Mexico City

  • Man i am about to buy this watch and i would like to ask you if i need to expose it on the sun everyday in order for battery to keep working properly

  • @dartanian5467 You don't have to, the battery has a reserve for about 5 months. For more additional info, it's on the link i posted.

  • @vaiosoft Yeah, i have read casio's info but i would your opinion as a guy who has this watch. I am not a climber or anything and i don't spend so much time walking on sun... would i have problems with battery? Thanks for responding

  • @dartanian5467 The battery is built to last, and about sunlight exposure, just let it sit by the window for like a day. That'll get it charged up to last another 5 months.

  • @vaiosoft I tried that ... Mine sat in a window for 2 whole days but the battery drained to nil within 2 weeks despite the fact that i hardly wore the watch...

  • @Anthrax2404 Thats not good, it should last 6 months without light. Seems like your watch has a defect. Take it back and get a brand new one.

  • @dartanian5467 I have the Pathfinder PAW1300T (older & fewer functions but slimmer than the 1500 version) for more than 2 years now. You basically doesn't need to deliberately expose it to sunlight because any source of light (such as lamps at home/office) will do. I never specifically expose my watch to sunlight, but it always show 'H' status (H for high) on the battery reserves indicator. Hope this explanation helps you with the decision. For me, Casio Pathfinder is a great watch.

  • Hi, nice review.

Is it possible to change, to 24hour clock and meters instead of feet?

  • @TorbenMalthe Yes, please read on the manual i posted for you.

  • what program are you youthing in start pls pm

  • @Ratuka2 Are you asking what program i used to make this? I used iMovie 09. Mac is better at video editing. Not into the Windows movie maker.

  • great review man, im planning on buying this on friday, but still confused between this and PRG-110T-7V

  • @blitzburghscorer Yeah that one looks great. Thanks for watching :)

  • Good Review thanks.

    two things:

you didnt show the compass function; and

you said it was big, but didnt put it on your wrist so we could see.

    Good review otherwise!

    Thanks.

  • @shalcrow Would you like me to snap some shots on the wrist? I have a small wrist so it looks "BIG" . here are the dimesions Size of case/total weight

    PAW1500T 56.2 X 50.6 X 13.9mm / 113g

  • How much does it cost? In Ukraine it cost 500$.

  • @Sharov710 Hi, thanks for watching and your comment. To answer your question. I paid a price around 350. it was almost a year ago. I just ebay'ed it and found a stunning 217 with free shipping and titanium band. Hope this helps!

  • @Sharov710 I paid around 350 bucks a year ago. I just ebay'd and found the same th with titainium band for 217 and FREE shipping. Thanks for watchin!

  • Vaiosoft How long this watch can last without any kind of light?Casio says that integrated battery can survive 5 months without light, but that is in theory.

  • @ALTADOSA Well I never tried it. But they probably exaggerate, to play it safe.. 4 months, but a few minutes in a light it'll start your sync and your'll be running in no time. Don't mind me asking but where will you be with no light for 5 months?

  • @vaiosoft :)))))))) Nowhere. :)))) I was just asking.Thanxx 4 the answer.I`ll buy this watch netx week.I have my Casio Triple Sensor PRT-40 since 1998 and it`s still running like a beast. :))))))

  • Thanks for the review!

Just looking to buy and this was useful

  • How is looks on hand?

  • @sandis52 I have a small wrist so it "BIG" but other than that, it looks great!

  • This watch didn't make it half way through Afghanistan

  • Is that band metalic? If so where the hell did you get that? Also the color is alot different from the casio website. I would like to know where you got yours.

  • I wanted that model but it was sold out so settled for pag-40 series.

  • Get some tips on "How to shorten/adjust your Casio Pathfinder's Titanium bracelet" in my photo blog article. Hope to be helpful ->>>

  • can you confirm that the crystal is sapphire? everything i've read indicates that it is a mineral crystal.

  • @ms8367

I cannot confirm if its sapphire crystal, but the mineral crystal is high quality. Not a single scratch on mine. Hope it helps.

  • @vaiosoft thanks

  • @ms8367 Yeah, Iv'e had it for a while now and not even a scratch, I've scraped it on many objects and no scratch.

  • @romanosalvatore thanks for the reply, i bought the paw1500y-1 from amazon and will do a video when i get it

  • You said you were going to give a more thero review of the watch and you didn't even say anything about the auto light function. Thanks anyways...

  • Hi!, i;m from Argentina, good review! but i have a doubt, i'm hesitating in buying this model or the PAW1500 (PRG -130). Wich is better? i know that they are similar, but for hunting and outdoor activities, wich one do you recommend? thanks

  • its not a sapphire crystal. bad information thay should have been edited.

  • oh no my comments were removed. duh!

  • Great Review At LAST !!! 10X I was about to make the same, but I see you did your BEST !!!

    Thanks !

Greetings from a proud owner of Casio PAW1500T-7V!

  • Just got one for $219

now ive gotta wait for delivery!!

  • 300-400 bucks

  • bought it just waiting to get it now

  • how much is the price?

  • how much is it ?i mean the price

  • Have had this watch since it was released, will be sending it back to get it serviced as i put it through a bit of a chilly experience, -23c next to a industrial chiller unit in a food coldstore. It still works good but if i'm running hot and i have it on too tight there is a little condensation in between the inner and outer glass. Remember it's only rated to -10c, so after the servicing (which Casio recommends every 3yrs) should be good for another 3yrs, then another 3,...

  • you did great vaiosoft, now I know what kind of watch I want in casio. Thanks!

  • Is this a good watch to bring to Afghanistan? Is it reliable enough?

  • @CoupleDrinks

Yeah, if your primary use for it is to tell time. Plenty of sun to charge the battery, be sure to adjust your zone if you are out of sync.

  • @CoupleDrinks G-Shocks are more appropriate...i would advise You Riseman or Mudman

  • Great review! Especially for a first timer! Hopefully santa (aka: Wife) has one under the tree for me, I have wanted this model for some time now!

  • Would the atomic time sync work in South America?

  • @romanosalvatore

I cannot confirm it, the closes towers to South America is in the US; Fort Collins.

So I don't think it will. If you sync it before you leave, and you stay for more than a month, you only missing 2 or 3 seconds. Thats the time it takes to read this comment, not that big of a deal to be honest

  • Bought this watch yesterday, it is worth every penny. Make sure to go through the manual carefully because it can be a bitch unti you get everything down.

  • Nice

  • the PAW 1500 is the best watch on the market, maybe better than the Sunnto

  • Ive heard the only diff. is that Suunto is more accurate.

  • your voice is so sexy when you give directions.

  • very nice i want one two !

  • A++ review . Just got mine off ebay less than 200$ Sh!tz Weak =P

  • Great review, mate! Awesome watch, too. Really wish I had the cash on hand to get one.

  • fuckin awesome!!!! i want one!

  • hi guys, question!wats the diffrnce between casio paw1500t and casio prg 130t..thanks=)

  • I think its a good review, appreciate it, maybe the only additional aspect would have been to show it on your wrist for a perspective on the size. these gadget watches are getting better all the time, but they are still bulky. Overall GREAT JOB!!!

  • I'm torn between this watch and the casio PAW2000T-V7...what's is your take on this??

btw excellent review and video shot.

  • definitely the 1500, the 2000 has a couple more features and 1 extra channel to use it in china, but is really nuthin to write home about, esthetically is inferior too.

  • do you have trouble receiving signals from the atomic clock

  • Sometimes yes, but here's a tip. Put it near the window towards the Colorado State. Because thats where the tower is. Best chance is that way. Good luck

  • i hope i'm in new jersey so its far. but i still want it regardless

  • I have the regular version of this watch and I am curious to know if the watch body is also Titanium. I've heard different sources say it was and others say it was the plastic resin. I know the band and bezel are titanium. If anyone that has this watch can verify that the watch body is "actually' metal that would be cool.

  • Hi JimTL, I know what you're saying but as far as I can tell, there hasn't been a single watch that can accurately measure the actual temperature while you're wearing it. I guess it's just part of the issue when the sensor is too close to body heat.

I have been using this watch for a few days now. The sensor readings are pretty accurate. Not precise, but accurate enough. It's comfortable to wear yet not too flashy. It's a great watch overall.

  • i wonder if casio ever made the tempwerature device to work while the watch was on? I thought it was so stupid in order to get the temp to get the watch had to be off your body. What the hell's the point?

  • Without a remote sensor it would be nearly impossible unless you were able to accurately calibrate the watch to your own body temperature. Of course the problem lies in the fact that your skin temp can range from ambient to pretty darn hot so there is really now way of keeping an accurate reading.

  • Thanks so much for the review. Because of this video, among with my own research, I made a purchase decision with Amazon for $248 (free shipping). I'm so looking forward to wearing this to my East Europe trip in October (next month). Nicely done!

  • thank you dude !

  • how does the compass work on this thing?

  • this watch is great. while not 100% accurate it all really comes down to your calibration of it.

i like the watch porno music btw

  • Thanks for your video, thanks to this, i am buying this great timepiece...

Got it on 238 bucks @ ebay.

  • Just came in today, I have everthing set.

I found it really odd, my temp setting was 10+ Deg F, too high, said 88.4f it really is 73.4f. other then that everything is right on.

    Glad I seen the review.

  • Yes i have the same problem too, but when its exposed to the sun (while its charging) the temp does get inaccurate. Best way to get the temp is take it off your wrist and set it on the surface and wait 5 to 10 minutes. Its not 100% accurate, but it will give you a estimate. Be sure to read the THICK manual haha.

Glad to hear it and Thank you!

  • I mainly use the temp feature while in a tent. 1 way I use it is to keep track of my skin temp while in a sleeping bag... The other is to take the watch off and place it in the gear loft of my tent to keep track of the temp inside the tent. Obviously if your wearing the watch the reading will be closer to your skin temp. The average skin temp ranges from 70 F to 85 F.

  • Thank you everyone! I'll be sure to answer all your questions too.

  • that's one hell of a clock!

    Nice review. Thanks for sharing.

  • Great watch, I just odered myself one on ebay, after watching this vid.

    Can't wait!!

  • Is this watch shock resistant? Thanks

  • Its shock resistant to a certain point. 3 feet drop is OK. You should take good care of it, its pricey. But you feel the quality, the buttons are shielded as you can see in the video. I hope this helps! You won't be disappointed!

  • dude, I'm sooo buying this watch now.

    Great review, thank you.

  • i adore this watch
