@crt0191 Whipworm is actually another nematode, Trichuris trichiura. This is Trichinella spiralis, which can also go by the trichina worm.

Trichinella Spiralis infect myocytes and you find them by using digestive enzymes (pepsine) to dissolve the musclecells and left are the parasites, as far as I know? So it should not be faeces you are looking at here, methinks.

@Maxander2001 Yes, what you say is correct. The adult nematods may live in the intestines but the larvae that travel, invade the tissue; mainly muscles. It can be treated with thiabendazole (to kill the adults) and tissue larvae usually are a dead end produce which have to mature in intestines anyway, so they die too once in the intestine.
