Remember the morning that the tower came down. My dad and I were watching WCW Wrestling on WKFT when all of a sudden WRAL appeared with a Special Report by Bill Leslie. He informed viewers of the tower collapse and the airing of WRAL's broadcast schedule on WKFT's signal for the near future (it turned out to be all but Sunday Mornings). It was weird seeing the Big 5 on the "small" 40.

No, they needed the brand recognition. For the record, on most area cable systems, WRAL is on channel 3. Not sure why.

@hkfreak They went back when they got a new tower. They were still licensed by the FCC for channel 5.
