Captain EO Tribute Debut at Disneyland

My gf and I noticed the 3D effects are getting a little better. When we first went out to see the reopening of EO, we noticed the 3D effects werent as impressive as they were in 87 when it utilized a special screen. Kind of a disappointment. But just 3 days ago, we saw it again and noticed it was more refined and didn't make us dizzy, etc. I hope they're refining it, bit by bit. I love MJ.

I watched Captain EO with the REAL MIchael Jackson! This was at EPCOT in 1987 and I was the Disney publicity photographer assigned to shoot some publicity stills of Michael. After we finished, he invited us to join him into the theater at Kodak's Imagination Pavilion to watch the show. We loaded in after the guests had their 3D glasses on and the lights were dimmed. I sat 3 seats from him. I have that memory to last my lifetime. I saw the show again just yesterday, May 30, 2011. GREAT!!!

I saw it for the first time at Disney World in October 2010! What an amazing show! I love MJ and all of his creativity! Thank you Disney Imagineers for bringing it back!

Definitely Captain Eo is now a phenomenom it wasn´t when it used to be on Disneyland or Disney/Epcot those years I saw it.

It was just a normal ride. I dont remember it had such entusiam...

Now, after his passing, people is way more entusiastic with Captain Eo...

Anywayz I am very glad I saw it at its moment :)

I'm going to see this in Paris! HUGE MJ fan and have NEVER seen EO except on youtube and actually never been to Disney either.So this should be a great first time for both :D

If we can't have MJ back then at least we will always have his music,performances and films so future generations can experience his unique Magical energy too!

I saw it the first day I was in Disneyland!! The first time I saw it, it stopped like close to the end but we could still hear the music. So I saw it a second time, and I saw the whole thing and I absolutely loved it!! =D When it showed him in the movie everyone cheered and it was awesome!!!!!! I got a captain EO t-shirt haha I love it!! LOVE IT!!

Guess what? I just found out they're bringing EO back to Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris too! Both parks are going to start showing the movie again sometime in June. How awesome is that? Now if only they could bring it back to Epcot... [and maybe Hong Kong Disneyland too ;) ]

Saw it last week, theater was absolutely full and erupted into applause when Michael appeared. First time seeing Captain EO on the big screen in 3D. Loved it.

because the lines go by fast and many people load to the doors. i saw the lines. it may look like the lines are short but people wait by the doors and they eventually get huge too before going in to see the film. there was lots of people screaming and such. i was one of them lol.

Captain EO is simply amazing, but where were the special effects? No lasers, smoke, and stars! What a disappointment:( The quality isn't as effective without the special effects. Don't know what Disney was thinking to bring something great back half assed.

It was awesome today. Had no wait around 430. Got right in for the next showing. Line shouldnt be that long. They also show you a behind the scenes video before you go in the theater. Makes you remember how cheezy the 80's were. RIP MJ
