I didn't take a picture of that but you had lots of people all over the place. Still I imagine it would be hard to say for sure there were 40.000 as a lot of the folks just seemed to be tourists...

Annotation is done. I don't think the majority of these people were just tourist.

Regardless the actual number seems hard to figure out, we can say though, that for a relatively unplanned event a whole lot of people showed up on short notice due to the sudden realization that the vote would happen that weekend.
