I would think that if you had a 7.5 set up properly...thats all you would need. That boat tossed a monster huge 40hp in the 80's.....Also ended up at the bottom of the lake. lol

15 hp is the most that should be on that boat

same happened to me but my fuel line clip held on and I was able to pull it up.
