Cara Bianconi, ad ogni gara, ad ogni atleta, i giudici hanno sempre STRUMENTI DI VALUTAZIONE PIU' SOFISTICATI DEI TUOI PER VALUTARE I SALTI, I PASSI E LE TROTTOLE (testuali parole che non cambiano dai mondiali '10 a quelli 11')... cara Bianconi... se sei insicura di quel che dici faresti bene a non dire nulla!!! Oppure dobbiamo credere che tu sia soltanto di parte?

За что судьи подарили ей 3-е место? За ее прямую спинку?! Ксюша Макарова должна была быть 3-ей! Подозреваю, что даже, если бы она не упала с 3С, ее все равно бы заткнули максимум на 6-е место, канадок с американками ведь тоже нельзя обижать!

Il primo a criticare Carolina Kostner quando commette un errore .. ma essendo suo grandissimo fan in questo caso devo solo elogiarla .. e provo una tale amarezza a vedere sul quel terzo gradino Laura Lepisto che non mi vengono le parole,quando il bronzo doveva essere sul collo della Kostner...fare il sesto libero .. e mantenere la stessa posizione è una VERGOGNA all'intero mondo del pattinaggio !! tutto il rispetto per l'atleta,ma non era sua quella posizione,sistema di giudizio da cambiare !!

And win a bronze medal with only 3 triple jumps and all the others doubled?

@stoccolma25 She won bronze because the judging system doesn't allocate enough points to skaters who attempt and land more difficult elements with mishaps (ie. underrotated, hand down, step-out, shaky landings). The reward is not in line with the risk so many skaters chose to play it safe. So until the ISU figures out how to balance the two, we will see this again which is so unfortunate.

How she made to the 3rd place??? She did 3 triples and all the other jumps have been transformed into doubles and had a little trouble on 1 of the combination spins. Carolina landed all of her triples (one double-footed and one step-out) and had none trouble on her combination spins. Plus, her spirals are the best in the world! She gotten the 6th place. This is my question: HOW THE HELL DID THIS HAPPENNED???? Seriously, someone give the judges some binoculars!

@Tinafigureskating Have you thought about the fact that presentation and fluidity are also grounds for rating? Some skaters give off the impression ten seconds before jumps that "okay, speed up, tricky combo coming up..." Laura manages to make it look effortless, and even though she does doubles, they come out clean.

And she *was* third after the short. The total score might do it.

With young dancers, you see the same thing. Just be happy about a good performance and stop analysing, okay? :)

Her technical score reflected the fact that she doubled most of her triple jumps. Relatively higher PCS was given probably based on her nice capability to interprete the music. But she would definitely not have been on the podium if other major competitors had delivered clean SP or FS (eg. Miki Ando or Mirai Nagasu). She was simply lucky, that's all, I suppose.

@ondinegb I agree that she was simply lucky, because there were many ladies who had almost the same scores. She happened to have the best of that bunch. That is how competitions are, isn´t it? Anyway, wouldn´t it be nice to enjoy the performances instead of ridiculing the skaters?

The fact that Cynthia Phaneuf, who had an exquisite short and long program, finished behind this mediocre skate with 3 triple jumps is just ludicrous.

I didn't see compentitions of the '80s, but I think there were much stronger performances, that didn't earn a medal at the worlds. She has a nice style...but perhaps the judges should include in their PCS marks how difficult is that to show great transitions and quality skating between double jumps, and for example triple axels... because Mao got the same transition score... We are lucky to have Mao and Yu-na because without them this would be the level and future of figure skating??

..chi pratica il pattinaggio mi può rispondere : ma come è possibile essere in 3 posizione, fare il 6 libero e mantenere la stessa posizione?ma soprattutto guadagnare un bronzo per una combinazione 3+3 un 3lutz e tutti salti doppi??

è possibile che facendo il sesto libero una possa mantenere una posizione alta perchè dipende dalla gara delle altre..la cosa inaccettabile è un bronzo mondiale con tre tripli e un punteggio di pochissimo inferiore a quello di carolina che di tripli ne ha fatti 6...io ero lì e tutti al palavela eravamo basiti a vedere il risultato..specie nel vedere che c'è un distacco di nemmeno 2 punti che c'erano..eccome..ma ormai laura sembra essere la favorita dei giudici dopo yuna..
