  • really informative and interesting

  • i wish someone would stop thinking linear and try to think of an alternative to wheels and rockets - so square indeed. we invented the wheel ten thousand years ago and our vehicles are still stuck to the ground rolling around on them.. cannot be possible

And considering this was invented in the 60s, we should have immigration helpless as we all fly to and fro from mexico to Usa

  • really informative and interesting

  • great video thanks

  • 70s tech

  • Yup G.I. JOE TECHNOLOGY COBRA KING flying chariot

  • COOOOOBBBRRAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!

  • this would be awesome for city travel.. hell.. any travel :D the sky segway lol

  • If you think about it.. all those conspiracy theories about the government hiding all the technologies from us it is quite sad but its a fact. Because they want us to be totally mindless. They want millions of us to use gasoline and cars as a way to move around. Im sure that we already have Anti gravity machine somewhere but they kept it from us.

  • This is incredible this stuff was built at the time of the coldwar yet it's perform flawlessly with little electronics stabilization... I think the reason the government doesnt want us to have these kind of flying machine is because cars would be render useless...we would be out of control flying anywhere we want to.. Airplane would also be useless too. Everyone would have their own craft. They want us on the ground and control us by using cars and airplanes.

  • @zero00tolerance This machine doesn't need stabilization because it's center of mass is below the engine, so it's sort-of simply suspended by the engine. It uses way too much expensive fuel (68 kg of fuel in 30 minutes) to be practical in any way.

If someone manufactured these for the public, we'd only have rich kids flying these things into buildings, there's no conspiracy if you just take the 10 minutes to find out a few details.

  • @clerlic wow i did not know that thanks for the info ... but im sure with today technology we can surely achieve this without even trying..what do u think

  • @zero00tolerance I don't think it's possible yet, the only way I see it happening is with electrical ducted fan engines and they need a lot of juice. Batteries don't have enough capacity yet and aren't cheap enough. You'd also need someone to design and build it.

  • So the Dick Tracy Air Car wasn't such a stretch after all.

  • Баба-яга рулит.

  • Why don't we have this?

  • @erasmusso Helicopters do everything better, except for accessibility and the fact that you have to be careful of the rotors. Also, it's easier to regulate big, unwieldly machines that are cost prohibitive and too hard for someone to own privately (normally at least), as opposed to smaller devices like this one (imagine a lot of untrained pilots of these fly around city streets, it'd be a nightmare! ;))

  • does anyone know what the weight capacity is on this thing?

  • 3 words why this didn't go through - Heat Seeking Missile!

  • W T F...... WHY THE HELL DONT WE HAVE STUFF LIKE THIS?!?!?!? WHY HAVE WE CANCELLED PROJECTS LIKE THIS WHEN THEY COULD HAVE SOLD TONS... AND OPEN UP IDEAS FOR OTHER PROJECTS BY THE PRIVATE SECTOR!!! SERIOUSLY... WHY THE HELL ARENT WE ALL FLYING THESE TO WORK!!!!!!!!! EVERY DAY!!!

  • @shadownoob83. It could very well be secret but I disagree with profit blocking progress. Developing new tech takes money. Money for investment only comes from profit. If I can't make money of the widget I've invented then its just an interesting toy. To bring a flying platform to the public it has to serve a purpose, be reliable and safe, as well as affordable. Until then it will remain a toy of the military and/or government like the space program.

  • @Bigfoot1955 It's really not a secret. The patent is in the public domain and this thing is a very simple design. VERY simple as we currently have the blueprints. Problem is the engine is the same one on the Tomahawk missle. Williams can't or wont sell them to the public.

  • @AROUGHMAN Lol, yep, that patent and about a thousand other breakthroughs that have been classified in the interest of "national security"

  • weaponize that beast.

  • i love this fucking thing i wonder how dangerous it is and stable in winds

  • This will inspire all nerds to lose weight so they can ride it

  • where is it now?

IDEA - some little company should start producing them and selling.

  • So that's where they got the ideas for the craft seen in classics such as Johnny Quest and others. I never did suspect they actually existed, even if most of them are collector specials now.

  • @Teonnyn also seen in metal gear solid 3 and 4 i think.

  • @Scafferx2 Sonic X also had a few of them later in the series, after the first Dr. Eggman defeat. The "normal" humans reverse-engineered his technology to create them along with other vehicles.

  • He should've also built a flying toilet booth. WIN.

  • like a flying segway hummmm Jim Heselden though he was ridding on one maybe

  • like a flying segway hummmm

  • This is classified- you'll never see one. Most breakthroughs are classified by the Government.

  • @kaderoder Right the one on display in the Museum of flight is Seattle doesn't exist. Moronic Cretin

  • @fizzguts I didnt say it doesnt exist, i said it was classified which means it will never be used by the public.

    Fuck-stain.

  • @kaderoder Quoting your memory challenged spittle "you'll never see one" Which was WRONG so I told you where you can see one plus there is a book published in 1987 with all the details, engine (Willians F117), cutaways, flight trial descriptions

    Repeating

You said "you'll never see one"

That was idiotic, stupid and untrue

It's about as classified as a Piper Cub

  • @fizzguts You fucking idiot, there is one shown in this video. Are you suggesting that i intended the reader of the comment to just forget what they have seen in the video? You know damn well that what i mean by 'you'll never see one' is that it will never be for sale nor will anything similar be for sale.

    It is classified.

Get a fucking life you drop-kick.

  • meh idk the shape isnt the same as the thing in mexico. plus people would have heard the fan that powers the thing and the "humanoid " in the other videos dosent have to lean differently to change directions. witch? no. this thing? probably not. plus there were only like 2 or 3 of these made and that was back in the 70's. and one of them is in a museum.

  • the driver looks like Darth Vader..

  • Some recently wrote: "this thing were created for fat americans for easierly coming to MC"

All I can say is, talk about the FAT calling others fat.

  • With 40 years of advancement in jet engines, electronic stabilization, light weight structures this thing could probably be made today and be useful.

  • @Bigfoot1955 I had the same exact thought.

  • @Bigfoot1955

It would still be unstable, plus no one likes standing for a solid hour while maneuvering a physically taxing vehicle

A modern version would have a seat, have a gyroscope, be computer controlled and probably look a but like a motorcycle

  • @Bigfoot1955 they prob all rdy are yust the keep it like top sicret or samthing they wont give it ti mass production yet becoes they wont profit and how they make more profit with flaying wasp or with car's ? ( prob with cars thats why Profit block progress )

  • this thing were created for fat americans for easierly coming to MC

  • @MrRobokoper why dont you learn how to spell, learn proper grammar and learn how to make a complete sentence before you try to insult. wtf is easierly? fucking retard.

  • Hardys fan dude i swear if you saw one of these and your ass was alone youd be scared! At night nd in mexico there is alot of spirrit sort of thing!

  • 1970"s tech

  • looks like a flying Segway xD

  • hahah they confused this to a witch in mexico lol

  • i want

  • well there you are... we are all sheeple bitches to the military

  • cool flying segway .

  • Mexicans are soooo stupid they Thot this was a witch dumbasses

  • I saw this about 5-6 years ago and pointed it out that it's the "Mexican Witch". Look at both videos. The WASp and the Mexican witch. pretty obvious that's what it is. But who decided to scare the crap out of Mexicans like that.. especially the Police. An American prankster or some rich Mexican kid having fun.

  • lØl_âñÿOñe_wáñNá_chÄt_wîth_mÈ_Ï_feÉl_so_lønèly_tòDay♪

  • Its simple - We now have technology beyond your wildests dreams, however its been supressed so that we are stuck for example with 100 year old car engine technology. Every time you turn the key, it makes the elite that control the world, that bit richer becuase they own the oil companies and pwoer companies and just about everything else!

  • @ludwigvonsteampole1 and what is the fuel consumption of this flying platform do you think? What about the safety record? A car is WAY better in those essential aspects. Unless of course you believe in those conspiration theories. For your record, the first one to invent a practical battery will get very rich. And it happens to be quite challenging. So feel free to give it a shot in you garage, but chances are big well funded companies will have the edge on technology.

  • designed and developed in the 70's, field tested and approved in the 80's and now nearly 40 years later we still don't see these in our skies! what a jip! if the american military haven't got the guts to fly these then send one to me! I'd fly it just to piss on the neighbour's roof! lmao Imagine getting dressed up as santa at christmas and ... well... you get the idea. lol

  • So what is more likely that technologies like this and even better ones can explain UFO sightings? Or that aliens traveled no less than like 65 million light years just to show up in our atmosphere only to give us brief glimpses of them?

  • It WILLIAM JET ENGINE NOW. USING BY TAMAHAWK CRUSE MISSILE.

  • segway of the skies

  • A flying urinal...interesting concept.

  • @gyoza007 All Patents have expired, Sam Williams applied for the Patent in 1982 and it was granted May 8th 1984. Here is the US PATENT 4,447,024 Williams and the title is: Airborne Vehicle. with attached drawings and description. pas this info around, any one can make this design.

  • 3000 m, screw that

  • I bet that if this would be sold to the open public it would be latest classy way of suicide...

  • So this is how Dr. Wily got his name... Interesting...

  • They should take two or three of the same engine and make some sort of Jetbike. Like a motorcycle that can fly and hover.

  • Remember when the old Dick Tracy comic series turned kind of futuristic & had their police riding around in vehicles very similar to these? Pretty cool stuff.

  • Why are these not being made? I would kill for one of these.

  • This is the predilection escape vehicle for any respectable evil geniuses and supervillains.

  • HOW do I get one??? I LOVE IT

  • Carbon Fiber + Today's jet engines = WOWOMG!

  • this is amazing. can you imagine if these were sold worldwide? they need to work on it and make the fuel last longer. it goes up to 60mph and fuel lasts up to 30 minutes. if they kept working on this maybe in the next 50-100 years everyone would be flying around in one of these. bicycles / bikes would be extinct. the fact they gave up on it is crazy! i guess the military have other things to spend on. like useless shit that not gonna get us anywhere in life.

  • Also, technically, similar device could be possible soon using electric-driven ducted fan type engines, as battery capacity increases.

  • What's that track playing in the background?

  • It was real at one time but never went in production though if it had I would definitely own one.

  • is this device real ??? i mean theres a lot of hoax around this things going on on internet that theres no reliable proof. I saw this things in MGS 3 and understand they were popular back in the 60's with all the cold war affair....

  • i want 1!

  • I can't wait till I get my Wasp lol

  • i wanna see a schematic diagram of this

  • There is an episode of Monsterquest on history channel that features a "lizard man" that people saw in the forest. They had an illustration of the creature in some type of flying device. The pilot in this video, sitting in this craft looks 99% like the "monster" they saw. Add in the fact that it was dark and they saw a glowing light and smoke ( both byproducts of a turbofan engine) and this might be what they saw.

  • Yuri from AR2 had one of these!!

  • this looks A LOT like the machine in MGS 3: Snake Eater that was used by the russians (i think) around forest like places

  • WAUUU!!! I wish to be a baby to use all that beautiful NEW way of life I am happy to see all that.....BEAUTIFUL FUTURE...cleaner energy, new way of farming....I SEE A BEATIFUL FUTURE......if we do not over populate ourself.....

  • @lslavychecker This video is from 1974. It does not use clean energy. It uses jet fuel and has a top speed of 60 mph with a fuel load for 45 minutes of flight time.

  • Tranq the pilots

Wait for that glorious crash noise

    :3

  • Ahh I know What I want for christmas..

Jus Imagine Flying one of these to Skool !!

  • @youngpilot234 yes, skool.... better go to skool fast

  • this does not look like the flying humanoid in the mexico video

  • thats amazing!! they made this that long ago, and now the closest things we have to this thing is those shitty ass hovercrafts, its like if we forgot about that technology

  • BABAJAGA! XD

  • flying tradhcans???? really? the millitary is wasting time on flying trashcans???

well, at least it looks fun...

  • Just Awesome....

  • Where i can buy one of those?? o right is not on the market what a surprise...btw THANKS NIKOLA TESLA and the people who stole his documents KGB,fbi thanks.

  • very interesting

  • 30 minutes flight time. this thing pwns jet packs.

  • I want one.

  • Old news!..... to be updated you should play

    METAL GEAR SOLID

  • @starwarssuck MGS3 FTW :DDD

  • Williams Int- is a crock of sh!t-

Boycott Williams international and don't buy their product for your birds-

    Buy GE, or PW.

  • ok mexico witch used this haaaa

  • LOL THE VUVUZELA BUTTON MAKES THIS SO MUCH BETTER

  • I thought Metal gear Solid made this up. crazy.

  • i cant understand why this wasnt mass produced,.. its obviously a genious craft.. Damn you US Army..

  • @nrk98 noise, payload, and oh, seems a little out in the open don't ya think. Plus the killer of all these types of aircraft... limited range..

  • Just like Fahrenheit 451

  • They need to add a camera and a gun to this and make it remote controlled

  • so.... Flying segway

  • @Routt240v more or less, a bit noisier though

  • YURI is using this! in Red Alert:Yuri's Revenge! XD

  • Uh oh.

  • Given it a security classification so that it becomes another invention that could end traffic delays that gets buried by the powers that be.

  • ITS TEH MONTERRY WITHC!

  • They are going to put a bullet proof see through bubble over the top and some guns on it then train the pilot to scream " COBRA!!! " as they fly in for the attack.

  • I had no idea these things existed, always thought they were still fiction.

  • lol, of course its going to be a weapon

  • lol the mexicans are retarded, they thought real people were floating and flying, but i really think it was this that people were seeing, hahaha i got a good laugh

  • I want one

  • Its like the ''stap'' from star wars.

  • so guys i really feel lonely today anyone wanna chat

  • MGS 3 : Snake Eater

  • @lllHanzolll A variation of this was in Metal Gear Solid 2.

  • @gambitrocks oh.. hmm dont remember that :/

  • I live in fairborn(5 min. down the road from the w.p.a.f.b. air force museum) they have one of these there. really really cool :)

  • Segway of the Skies..

  • if anyone knows where to find the BLUEPRINTS for this machine PLEASE tell me

  • sure like you can build it

  • its probably not that hard then again nor is rocket science but everyone thinks its hard

  • well then good luck and dont die lol

  • As far as I can tell, it uses no computer to balance the machine. So if you can get a jet engine working and screw it into a basic frame I guess that's all that you need.

  • well it looks more harder then that

  • No, the body does the balancing, the only thing you need is thrust. When this was first studied, they simply attached a high-pressure air hose to a person, and the person could float with it easily. So, if you have enough thrust you don't need anything else. Also, it's a popular high school/university project, but they mostly use a small motorcycle engine and a rotating airplane propeller instead of a jet engine.

  • o shit Star Wars soldier :D

  • it's a dud in a Wasp Williams Aerial Systems Platform

  • LOL I'll stay with the Hiller platform when I get enough cash.

  • this video is from a -Future Scan -program, episode-Machines at War-, originally show in the years 1988-90, , , a short season , few episodes-i recorded this one on VHS, tape,

    a kool program ,

  • i feel like im watching something that was in metal gear.

    "METAL GEAR!!"

    "DAMN."

  • thats exactly what I thought, wish I had one.

  • yea! like the flying camera things! i soo want one of those! thats better than the one man heli! looks so futuristic!

  • amazing :D

  • It's impractical because it uses up 68 kg's of fuel in 30 minutes. That's some bad mpg.

  • thats why they havnt put them into production since they where built in the late 70's.

they should release them on the commercial market though ID BUY 1!!!

  • well that explains "las brujas" lol!

  • i guess so. were witches real?

  • wooaa....ok, other than that stupid witch thing in mexico. lol what technoligy does that use? I cant see anything obvious. make a bigger one and you might be onto something there.

  • mmm, false is one boy wheele

  • wow this was on MGS3 O_o

  • and the original Johnny quest show if i'm not mistaken. its a 60s concept that didn't quite make it out of the era.

  • @Wnunyuie Appears maybe someone in South American brought into the new century.

  • i want to buy one!!

  • The jet engine alone costs about $100 000.

  • in 1977, the engine cost $77,000

  • Gemini505 you'll need an alien custome while ur at it and a sign that says border patrol 2089

  • I'd love to fly that around Mexico City just for a few laughs.

  • we would bring you down with rocks .but you can try anyways.

  • POR DIOS SANTO!!! UNA BRUJA!!!

  • if we have diz technology why dnt we use it??? n if this is wat ppl in mexico think waz a witch. why would sumone have it over there???

  • Straight outta the Jetsons.

    TONANAS86 is gay

  • FFFAAAAKKKEEE.

    helicopter carried.

  • Saw these on Johnny Quest back in the 60's.

  • haha, roflmfao, it's the Santa Claus from 2058!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS, KIDS!!! SPOOKED OUT'A UR MIND!!!

  • Looks like the witches have upgraded from brooms to this.

  • No doubt. the whole time I was watching this, I couldn't help but remember that video of the alleged witch flying in Mexico.

  • Lol, i know. just posted this vid to clear up some issues.

    Stupid beaners. L2technology

  • LOL...the skill and intelligence needed to use this would be higher then what most American foot soldiers have anyway

  • concur

  • Complete failure at intelligence and rational thinking.

    Spot the Aussie.

  • What ever moron.

Only the smart English people move to Australia. Have fun living in a hole of a country. It's cold, it dreary, its full of boring whiners like you and you know it.

  • actually it was the prison guards and the criminals that moved to australia. we used your country as a giant prison lol.

    do your research.

  • imagine the predecessors

  • thats what she said

  • I saw where the police officer was given a drug and alcohol screening after giving his statement and passed. I'm sorry, I just can't accept a casual 'thiswilldo' explaination for what happened to this guy. This just does not make sense. I mean, did he get fired? He's a policeman for pete's sake! (I'm basing this on the History channel show a few years back where this particular happening was featured) I haven't heard anything about this policeman being on drugs.

  • its eggman from sonic

  • I WANT THAT!

  • wut, star wars just got real

  • If you look closely at the original video of the flying whatever, you can clearly see that when it passes in front of the mountains a brown or reddish- colored cloak is visible. Would it be possible to cover the entire WASP with a cloak such as this and why? upon closer scrutiny, the flying Army vehicle just does not check out. By the way, what attacked the police officer?
