  • You can already tell Chung did not have a lot of confidence in this. The movie really sucked eventually.

  • uuuugh... everyone knows the real Aeon Flux is Denise Poirier.

  • Man, I just hate this movie. I loved the animated shorts and the movie was just one exercise about how hollywood make ugly pices of shit out of good material. And I just hope that the cell animated movies like Aeon Flux will get the comeback.

  • I absolutely love Charlize Theron, but damn, that movie sucked monkey balls

  • A fat AeonFlux in a fullbody suit. Wonderful! NOT.

  • Charlize Theron IS Aeon Flux. Dunno who could of been better to fill the tight black outfit. The series was complex, but intelligent. The movie was the same, but in many ways different. In a good way of course. The movie was deep and visually incredible. Completely overlooked movie.

  • Finally! someone said it.

  • i completly agree!! but i think charlize theron is only hot when playing Aeon Flux. but yeah, the movie was amazing!!

  • No.....I shouldn't have said that. Who am I to judge one's personal taste even though I know that person glorifies something for the wrong reasons? Call me what you want but I still think supporters of this film are a disservice to Peter Chung's artistic work.

  • How was it a disservice? I marathoned the boxed set prior to viewing and was surprised by the enormous amount of the cartoon's content that made it over to the film version. AND it made sense of the disparate worlds of the shorts vs the long form eps.

  • The show's content made it over to the film version? Excuse me? Can you say -fan service-?

It made sense of the disparate worlds of shorts etc? Are you crazy? the film wasn't suppose to make sense in Flux,it's suppose to be surreal and ambiguous. that's the whole damn point of Flux.

  • The film has the surreal and ambiguous elements--but in the last acts it brings everything together and adds to the mythos.

  • Mr. Chung kindly went on the record that he never wanted a live-action film to be made by the likes of Hollywood and you two-faced hypocrites helped putrify his progressive vision of all that was worth! You've just confirmed my argument. You're guilty as hell.

  • The film is just a piece of the story--visit the video game and you get even more elements and expansions.

As for contents that made it into the film--characters, food, weapons (like the spikes she uses when she's in the white), buildings/structures, and of course character themes and those are just a few. They also recreated various frames from the shorts 1:1 exactly, and the lines of all of Aeon's various costumes also made it into the film.

  • Let me ask you something Mr. Bangiac....

Does Peter Chung look like a BITCH?!

  • the movie was an abomination. It captured NONE of the animated series's imagination. Michael Bay may as well have been in charge.

  • Oh, there's Peter (I missed the begining). Lol @ "Aeon flux herself" I knew that movie was a loss when Hurd and Kusama were attached. Kusama: "I was just lucky to read a great script" :(

  • No Peter Chung. Well thats actually a good thing because that movie blew! I do like charlize though, to bad that movie was so wrong.

  • Is mirko lang part of this project??? pls

  • Film sucked so badly and did not show anything that was cool in the cartoon .Charlize is too fat to play aeon .I saw films with more aeonfluxish coolness than adaptation itself. And i dont think i was expexting too much before i saw a movie ,because the title obliges.

  • Fat? I suppose Nicole Ritchie would have been a better fit?

  • LOL

  • you cant make a movie look like cartoon it does not work

  • Charlize isn't fat, bitch!

  • seriously! she was the perfect person to have played Aeon flux, especially with the cool hair!!

  • you're just saying that because you're a gluttenous, selfish, heartless person.

  • The cartoon was great, and so was the movie. The 'toon i s what it is (an animated series). This film can only be an adaptation of an original from another media. The film did a nice job providing the story line that a film needs and which was largely lacking in the series.

  • I think that the movie Rocks and the clip rocks and Charlize Theron ROCKS!

  • The movie wasn't bad, but it would have been wicked if they had created a movie with the same art that was in the original.

  • Well I liked the movie

  • me 2

  • same here!

  • Charlize theron ROX!!!!!!!!! I didnt really like the movie i actually fell asleep.

  • charlize isnt actually that hot, shes a LOT better when playing aeon flux

  • Almost doesn't count......

  • Aeon Flux the cartoon was perfect. I think the movie was CRAP compared to the original. I hated it, a lot. I almost got up and walked out.
