We were haunted by the ghosts of the lady who were murdered by the Pol Pot Soldiers. Town people said that she was about 8 month pregnant too. That big Buddah tree was in the backyard but no more house because they burned their house too. They used to be a well off family....but I remembered we ran like hell. But I don't know why back than they always have meeting at night time.

I remember during Pol Pot time and they seperate kids from their parents and boys from girls. Anyway we were coming back from a meeting one night. We walked through this old plantation where town people said all of the family members and people used to live in that plantation were all murdered by Pol Pot soldiers. Anyway a bunch of us small boys walking thru and near the this big tree...you can hear some lady voice was singing like this in the middle of the night...we were haunted.

I bought my mother maid a home in PreyChrook province a few years ago,she took great risk to care for me during Khmer Rouge,and treated me like her own child,Kyoum min aach bomplech kune bahn tae bahht,the maid who used to work in our house in SiamReap before 1975,who once cared for me like my own mother during khmer rouge,i bought her a house a few years ago and still sent her money to spend to this very day,loyalty to me is everything ;))

Sound like my mummy dearest singing me a sweet sweet lullaby when i was just a small child in SiamReap,during khmer rouge i was separated from her for like a year,sent away to live with one of her maid in PreyChrook province,i often hummed my mummy sweet lullaby to myself before going to sleep,her sweet voice stick in my head where ever i go,i was reunited with my mummy dearest in SiamReap when the north vietnamese troop advanced into CAMBODIA.
