People do change, yea. Lance MacDaniel gave up his right to change. We may no longer occupy Newark or Seth Boyden, but Lance's crimes are fresh in our memories.
i grew up with ras and his brothers we use to have mad parties at his crib when we got older ras use to tell us stop buying BMWs and gold chains put the money in the families and the communities alot of dudes wasnt tryin to hear that kind of talk i was feeling that cus thats all i use to think about back in the day i still do lol but im more senceable about it now then i was my kids come first befor i think about spending my money stupidly
I grew up in Seth Boyden Housing Projects when it was a whole different place. This was during the 1950's and the 1960's. There were people from all over the world lived there. Mostly Italians and Jews. The neighborhood was a great place to grow up in. There was violence, but not like now. Note, about 20% of the neighborhood was African American then. For the most part, people got along. There was crime, a few addicts here and there. It really has changed!
hey im from the bricks and i grew up down S.B.P. its refreshing to see that people are actually doing something to help progress instead of hindering it cause lord knows when i was growing up it was nothing but murder drugs and crime infested love the new look fellow seth boydeners keep up the progress

i just want to commend Ras Baraka for all his efforts...im a resident at NCC...my daughter was a member of the SOUL team...this brilliant young man is not only one of my childs Principal....he allowed my other child to be on Lauryn Hill's ..Miseducation album...his younger brother was also an inspiration to my children....his sister was an endearing coach as well....may God Bless the Baraka family!!!
