somehow also the other movie has the same story.. only the different setting.. i can't still rmember.. i was familiar with that one than this one.. still both are scary..
there was another movie of this... it has the same 3rd story.. it was also an anthology.. but the difference was the zuni doll was in some kind of a museum.. it was a different setting.. can't remember the title.. :(
Made in 96, the third story (He Who Kills) was a sequel this story and the only connection between the two films (besides the title, and one actress throughout the three stories)
Man. When I'm asked what is my favorite scary movie. Would always say this one. I was about 5 or 6 when I 1st saw it. And I was hooked on horror flicks ever senses. I've been looking for this one for years... Thanks for posting it.
I was 7 years old when my older sister made me watch this..late night on ABC channel 7....i could not sleep soundly for months after seeing that ending...now I can appreciate that I wasn't the only kid traumatized by this movie.....lol
@holland1972ful This mini movie was epic, scared the hell out of me! I notice that most others are around 6 years old when we saw this. What were our parents doing! I was still freaked out until I saw it today.
Never gets old. Still enjoyable to watch. I was 9 when this was on TV & used to scare my older sister imitating the Zuni doll (easy to do since she has a phobia about ventrioquist dolls). This TV movies still gives her the creeps to this day. LOL All 3 segments were great thanks to Karen's acting, but of course, the 3rd one was the best. I confess, I don't like kitchen knives much these days....
i remember when this flick was shown on late night tv on ABC ch7 in NYC right after "The Night Stalker" (pilot) bout a Vampire stalking women in L.A. great series! x0]
plus she is not supposed to let go of the knife if she isn't sure the doll is dead. there was no logical reason for her to drop her defenses as she was checking. how come people in horror movies always fall down and trip and take a long time to get up? if something were trying to kill me and I fell down, I'd be up again in a millisecond.
this is one of the most terrifying made for tv movies that the 70's were famous for.....I love Dan Curtis. This scared the living piss out of me when i was ten years old and watching this alone at 3 am.....lol I have been trying to remember the name of it forever....Im gonna watch....heh.......if you like this....watch the 1996 remake of the Dark Shadows the revival......awsome.......
Once agian classic childs play this doll gets burned so did chuckie in childs play how many times did the lady fucking closed the door on him and then he stuck the knife under the door? Same thing in this this is the orginal childs play!!!
I'm sorry, but the doll sounds way too much like the Monster the drummer Muppet....

Thanks for re-posting all 3 parts. Truly an early 70's cult classic starring Airport 75's Karen Black.
Now, if someone could just post Stockard Channing's "The girl most likely to".
