  • Slash's version might be better, but just remember... It's always harder to create a tune than it is to play it !!!

  • There was a super extended version I only heard once late at night when their studio send failed (or their DJ passed out drunk one night) to prevent dead-air. It had a long drum intro before the music started. Never heard it again.

  • @lewko1 I have that on 45, from mushroom. Rory Gallagher originally played this solo on Mike Batt's Tarot Suite. That's here on Ytube too. Kevin Borich added to the riff. I remember in the extended clip the winged guitarists were being created in a factory.

  • wow slashes is like 100 times better

  • slash shreds this

    slash is ultimate

  • all sound good. would anyone know where to get a guitar tab for it. would be grateful, thanks grant.

  • @ghoste7171 try 911tabs i havnt checked if its there but it should be they seem to have every thing

  • listen to Dieta Kleiman version got the cd, i guess it was arround when in the early 90s triple m theme. better than slashs version.

  • SLASH KILLED IT MATE!! BEST

  • slash's version is sick as god waat a rock god

  • I think this is really my most favourite theme song/riff of all time. The Slash version is great but nothing compares to the original TV ads.

  • Slash's is better

  • Dr Dan's version is far better than Slash did not meet up with the expectation and hype

  • wow, I used to love this, great graphics and guitar, forgot mmm used to be 105 and not 104.9, thanks to uploader, now to find the mmm clip with the same music but on that assembly line(?)

  • Where the fuck is the oringal version. With Kevin Borich. Thats the best version by far

  • slash version was less than i expected...

  • @mdf072 .

    you disgust me

  • @dtrain69er i disgust you because i said slashs version was less than i expected? Wow, get a life.

  • @mdf072

lol have a sook you fuckwit

  • @dtrain69er Hahaha you're the sook! Someone call the WAHMBULANCE. Ohh i wuv you slashy lol. fag

  • I wrote it in 1975, as part of an album called Tarot Suite (Mike Batt and Friends) - the guitarist was Jim Cregan - of Cockney Rebel, and later Rod Stewart. Triple M used my version originally and then re-recorded it with my approval. Nice to see they are bringing it back. Rory Gallagher WAS on the album, but that solo was Cregan. Hope Slash shreds it. MB

  • Yeh .. the version b4 this one is a lot better .. I have it on a 45 somewhere ..

haha.. Anyone know what that is ??

  • NO,no no this is a remix. The true original is just awesome

  • I was 12 years old , I got a Toshiba bombeat 8 gheto blaster for XMAS , ready for FM radio , Stereo , because my ears had brains .............. thanks for the memories , And I wore a massive DR DAN logo on a white sloppy joe to Flemmington markets world biggest dance In 1985 ....TRIPPLE M ROCKS

  • cranberyjam is right, from the song Journey Of A Fool ( 3 minutes and 8 seconds in if you want to check ) off the 1979 Tarot Suite album by Mike Batt, played by the legendary Rory Gallagher.

  • cant wait til slash re does this its gonna be epic

  • The theme was actually an extract from mike batt's tarot suite overture.

  • I was always under the impression that Tommy Emmanuel played this when he was doing commercial jingles. The phrasing & the sound in the theme, do not sound like Kevin Borich!?!?

  • doctor dan...is back! dammm im 19 years old, cant believe what i was missing out on! it rocks!

  • Found out this morning Borich first did it! Hardly surprising. Always did love it and now I just want a long version...

  • I've never heard of this until this morning and man, this sounds great...Slash is redoing it to...can't wait

  • Triple M is bringing back the theme to be recorded by Slash

  • I forgot all about this into. It was a 2nd updated version of Dr Dan. Brilliant work!

  • TripleM was a brilliant radio station.

Now it is just a beer guzzling bogan radio station which plays ac/dc all fucking day long 50 times in a fucking day.

Wish they played more 1927 or Dragon, rather than back in black is sounding very crap over & fucking over again.

  • hypnotic tune... shouldn't there be like a 3 or 4 minute version so i can listen to this for 2 hours without repeating it every minute?

  • I just tabbed it. See...

    sites google com site tuxguitarmusic

    You'll need TuxGuitar software

    Enjoy!

  • this has gotta be the best guitar riff ever!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard it back in the 80's and have just found it tonight... praise the lord...has anyone got any info about it? tabs would be nice

  • Wheres the next version where the little radio blows up at the end!!

  • i believe phil emannuel played lead guitar (based on / copied from mike batt riff)

  • No, it was Kevin Borich. He's an awesome guitarist. He went to the studio and was given the tiny lick from Mike Batts, Tarot Suite and then put his "feel" to it and what you hear on the ad is what Kevin came up with. I love it. Takes me back.

  • OK !!
