The Russian people were better off under Communism no matter how hard times could be because Russians are a hard people. But under Capitalism it is just total fucking chaos.
@Kommunist93 Russia never achieved communism. Communism is a stateless society with no concentration of power. In order for Russia to acheive communism, the establishment of power would have had to of been dismantled. That obviously never happened.
Socialism is an economic ideology where people own the capital and means of production of the country and make decisions about it collectively. The people in Russia have obviously never had any control of anything in their country.

However although there was never a Communist country in History doesn't mean to say that they're weren't actual Communists. Many good people believed in it's ideals and were determined to build a future through it, even if the politicians and governments were completely corrupt. And more realistically I'd say the Native Americans were EXTERMINATED.

In the pre-Bolshevik part of the Russian Revolution there WERE actual socialist/democratic initiatives but they were crushed instantly after the Bolsheviks took power. Within months. The Bolshevik takeover was a coup. In the mainstream Marxist movement, Lenin's takeover was regarded as counter-revolutionary.
Examples in history suggest it's an accurate statement.

Although they still pulled through despite enormous odds it'd clearly changed the perspective of the Revolution. This is clearly because at this time the Reds were fighting a just cause and the Czar clearly needed to fall. I think the key to any Communist Takeover is keeping the Revolutionary spirit strong and alive, Stalin was obviously counter-revolutionary.

In the pre-Bolshevik part of the Russian Revolution there WERE actual socialist/democratic initiatives but they were crushed instantly after the Bolsheviks took power. Within months. The Bolshevik takeover was a coup. In the mainstream Marxist movement, Lenin's takeover was regarded as counter-revolutionary.
Examples in history suggest it's an accurate statement.

Although they still pulled through despite enormous odds it'd clearly changed the perspective of the Revolution. This is clearly because at this time the Reds were fighting a just cause and the Czar clearly needed to fall. I think the key to any Communist Takeover is keeping the Revolutionary spirit strong and alive, Stalin was obviously counter-revolutionary.
