About Nexus, it is pretty cool. I have Nexus (version 1.x.x). With that you can add some cool spices to your music to make it more to industrial or symphonic (for example). :)

Synth's gave me the feeling that this would be more "pirate" (folk metal) than gothic metal.

I think I need to use something more powerful than Sytrus to get the sound I really want. Probably Nexus or something like that.
