I cannot say if your problems could been treated better by the British NHS (on seconds thoughts they would have been) but you would not be placed in penury by your illnesses.Did you say your care bill was a$1,000,000 if you were a Brit your bill for your health care ZERO.You might have been asked to pay about $10 per prescription item .Yes you would have paid higher taxes than the USA but I can't help thinking that if we in the UK have socialised (a dirty word in the US) medicine then so be it.
