  • i hate documwntaries that atract communist, brainless type of people

  • Baikalo Amurskaya Mogistral in Russian and Baikalo Amur Mainline in English was also a very tough terrain to build the railroad through. Breaking off the trans siberian railway half way between Krasnoyarks and Irkutsk going over the northern part of lake Baikal as far as Khabarovsk and going all the way to Vladivostok. It is a very well known part of the railway in Russia.

  • These people were mighty tough to withstand the rigors of such work. God rest their souls.

  • lol man-eating tigers

  • i wonder, why narrator didn't translate what the women were talking about... cause they were talking how life was more secure in communistic Russia.

  • @svetlanaprekrasnaya Interesting. I remember in university here in the US we studied Eastern Europe and they said the same thing. Like in Czechoslovakia the citizens had a secure life with communism until the US went in there to "save" them. Then everything fell apart. People are very narrow minded when it comes to other people's cultures. So I agree with you.

  • @TheyDontSee it's easy to destroy, than to build... US proves it all the time. East Europe, Yugoslavia, Afganistan, Iraq... what is next?

  • Why the hell are so many people giving this embarassingly bad brainwashing crap thumbs up?

  • i would say these people are ready to survive any catastrophic without electricity, heater or anything the american needs everyday, sometimes here in the usa only inches of snow paralyze cities and people omg

  • The unbelievable pains of the Transsib workers and the countless dead during building never should be forgotten! Don't forget: You travel over their graves!

  • this is cool music ...

  • it would be boring...but i really wanna travel the whole length...

    i love Russia...

  • @matsharma not in right company.

  • It must be a pain to maintain.

  • @lizlemon45

well since i live in the u.s. i suppose lots of the movies i watch are made here, don't listen to music as much as i used to but i have to admit that i liked 'their' music too.

and it's true. bananas don't travel well.

me and mr. pither recommend apples or oranges.

  • 4:53 Jeah, Ikarus in Siberia, we did it :D

  • i am feeling how they hard work at russian i am an indian so think real world famous

    Thanking you

  • @lizlemon45

de der doo duh? doo doo de dozer? blah di huh?

  • I asked in other part, but still... WTF is this stearing wheel in the locomotive?

  • @ShwangShwing The throttle wheel, most probably, which controls how much power the engine produces.

  • I wonder... Is it generally more rewarding to ride to Vladivostok, or to Beijing? Probably a very subjective issue.

  • Наивняк 1996 -- "Все что хочешь можешь купить, только зарабатывай(воруй,грабь,убивай) "

  • I have rode every mile of it and its an awsome railsystem

  • 9:16 that looks delicious, in my country we call that a "langos" you can have it with chees, meat, or just simple with nothing in it.

  • Hoyl fucking shit a Ba-Nanner

  • the narrator acted like "OMG the people in siberia eat FOOD!" and "OH CRAP! look someone who is 'notAmerican' is not starving to death!"

i bet they even bury their dead, love their children, sleep, eat, drink and (can you believe it?) WASH?!

  • .....i just felt like pointing out the nanner I love russia iwas just kinda of amazed they managed to get a fruit liek that to survive in Siberia

  • they don't travel well. i took fruit on a hiking trip and the bananer was mush.

  • @jen8933 This aired in 1996 not long after the fall of the Soviet Union. Maybe you should read up on the Soviet Union.

  • @michael918273645

i'm 54 you fool i lived thru the cold war.

  • WOW A BANANA!

  • very interesting I just rode the entire length of this from Vladavostok to Moscow this is trully an interesting rail line

  • thanks i would really like to ride the entire lengh one day.

  • you should its well worth it

  • I rode what would equate to being a luxury train basiclly a tourist train not on the regular Russian train schedules the Trans Siberian Golden Eagle 15 days worth of travel

  • @InuyashaKnight you can't do it in one day -- IT'S F*CKING TRANSSIBERIAN RAILWAY! ((:

  • @YKhatskevich He means he want to ride it in the future

  • How much did the trip cost excluding airfare to Moscow and any Visa paperwork for Russian customs?

  • It's around 500 EUR for round trip from Moscow to Vladivostok. Depending on class and season obviously. It's even possible to make it for 400 EUR both ways. However you can always take first class and pay nearly 2000 USD for a round trip. Cheapest is 3rd class (Platzkart), it's klind of carriage with berths only. There's no separated rooms in it. But that's the baeuty and sense of it! Taking a ride in 1st class is senseless to me. Check out prices at getrussian-dot-com

  • thanks for the info.

even if you do take 1st class always mix in the train. i like to have a private place but don't stay in it very much;)

  • about 1000 eur

  • @HusarzRP

    thanks

  • @gaycowboy31

maybe someday....i so wish i could afford to take that great train ride.

i once read a book that was an account of one of the persons associated with the installation of telegraph lines alone the route.

wish i could remember the title. great read.
