@RedorDeadDancer Actually, when I went for the first time, everyone was calm. You don't feel like your falling at all. Believe it or not, bungy jumping to me is scarier. Your with someone when you jump out. With Bungy jumping, you are all by yourself and you bounce around all over. My advice, try this. It is something that you will never forget. Take it from me.

YA, except you don't need O2 to jump HALO. That's all in the movies.

Here it is straight from the Field Manual. FM 3-05.211 (FM 31-19) Special Forces Military Free-Fall Operations April 2005 (the most recent I could find on the web). Pg 1-1, Paragraph 1-2 (in the front of the book no less).

HALO is a military term. Your site has just co-opted the term for their jumps. Their requirements are correct, but a HALO jump does not mean you need O2 to be a HALO jump. Look up the field manual I listed below.

(HALO) operations are jumps made with an exit altitude of up to 35,000 feet mean sea level (MSL) and a parachute deployment altitude at or BELOW 6,000 feet above ground level (AGL).

Example: HALO can be from, 13K opening @ 3K. No O2 needed.

Also, Charlie Sheen is not a SEAL. :)

What are you talking about? A 30k exit requires oxygen and if you deploy lower than 6k it's HALO. Didn't you read the post?

Perhaps YOU didn't read the post. It said she should look into HALO and HALO does not require O2 to be HALO. The implication was she would need O2 to do a HALO. Better he said she should look into jumping at 30K where she would need O2 and mask. (though you don't always need a mask to use O2)

Yeah, I skydive and have also jumped in the military (just static-line bs). Military definition of "Halo" is any freefall with a canopy deployment under 6k. "Haho" is over canopy deployment over 6k. All skydives are "halo/haho". All "halo/haho" jumps are skydives. "Halo" also has loose civilian skydiving definition for high altitude (22K-30k) as well since the "image" of "halo" was branded by Hollywood. See halojumper (dot) net

But then when I landed, I saw him jumping up and down and laughing and he hugged me for five minutes shouting "That was so amazing!!!"
