The US space program began here in New Mexico after the US captured some Nazi V2 rockets.

We helped with the Mercury project, one of our most infamous doctors helped with the Apollo program, and we still help with a lot of the technologies NASA uses from Los Alamos, Sandia labs and white sands

So it's good space tourism begins here as well

I can already imagine mankinds first contact scenario: alien life may recognize one of our manned spaceships and translate its companies name into "scientists who never participated in reproduction for a more efficient transpoertation."
