HappyCanMan, when I went to sports store to buy one the salesman asked me if I knew how to skateboard, I told him I have never even stepped on a skateboard in my life... He told me that I shouldn't get one because it's a lot harder that skateboarding. Got one anyways - took me about 20 min to learn how to mount and ride it for some distance. 2 days to be comfortable, and after a week to start trying some tricks. It's not that hard and this is guy with bad balance talking

If you mean waveboards, then yeah. I'm not good at skateboarding, I can do it, but I kinda' suck.

Friend of mine got the waveboard, I spent about five minutes and learned how to balance, then took half an hour to really get going on it.

Now I'm better than my friend at riding it, I got my own, so I can jump from one board to another, do manuals, almost can switch stance whilst moving, but I'm still working on an ollie.

You should definitely get it.

the ripstik i had, had more control then the wave board, the wave board was a little more flexible but you could easily tell the diff.

it is easier to ride and make speed and the rip-stick is so long

specialy becouse ur foot are like 89 cm between each

neither, because its all personal preference, so dont listen to these guys that say "this one IS better" but i chose the wave because its more well put together (the parts dont shift around as much) and the ripstik put a ton of strain on my legs. plus the wave is easier to get going fast and it accelerates better.
