Jesus' 1st command to public was to Repent; John the Baptist preached repentance to"Prepare the way for the Lord"; Mark 1 says JohntheBaptist was the beginning of the Gospel; Luke 24:47 makes it clear this Gospel message to repent hasn't changed. God wishes none would perish but all would come toRepentance. And heaven rejoices when one sinner repents! Furthermore, God is not the Author of Evil. When Jesus walked on the water and told his disciples to get out on the water with him, only Peter obeyed. Even though he started to sink and the Lord was his strength, Peter alone obeyed. We hear many rationalizations about why Peter started to sink, but at least he obeyed. It's the same with street preachers. Many criticize, but at least they are obedient. Jesus said, 'Go ye, out therefore and teach others to do as I have taught you'. Jesus says , 'Go!' and all pastors say, 'come to my service
That is really good wittnessing not perfect but really good.God does not measure a person by there willingness to obey in the future. I need a new nature to even know what true obedience looks like. So the guy saying I won't obey on the wrong side of the cross is true, he has no propensity to obey being depraved in nature.
