  • LOL so this is where Top Gear got the car train idea from XD

  • I think the 440 ad was actually from the 1990s but nice to see the others

  • My first car was an Austin Montego, I loved it at the time :)

  • i think noel edmonds is a bit of a pimp

  • a Jetta wider inside than the 5 Series E28? Definetly not!

  • @BMWACP im with you dude i own an e28 how can a golf based supermini with a boot be wider

  • MG=Dead. Morris=dead. Austin=Dead.

Why? The only 2 independent British car manufacturers that have gone through decades of history is Jaguar and Aston! Why?

  • Because they buildtrubbish cars nobody bought!

  • Yeah, that's true.

  • The MG Montego Turbo was the fastest production saloon car in its day. Why?

  • @csihardfan111 MG very much alive now :D

  • @GDWGlos Made in China. That's what I say.

  • @csihardfan111 Owned by china yes, designed in the UK and will be made in the UK too. Ok the current MG6's that are about (RHD) are made in China, but the UK will have its own spec cars that are built here

  • @GDWGlos I hope for the best. Ive loved the classic MG's.

  • LOL! 1:50!

  • From a time when car ads were actually intriging or slightly exciting to see for the 20 seconds they lasted.

They don't even show you the fuckin car in ones today, most times!

  • "The Metro has a totally redesigned front for greater aero-dynamic efficency!" Hahaha I love it!

"With restyled interior and improved ventilation and controls at your fingertips"!

What Noel forgot to mention was that the controls also break and snap off at your fingertips, and the improved ventilation was coming from the rust holes in the floor.

  • Ha! I remember that Volvo 440 ad from when it first came out! Ah the memories.

  • the metro was a complete rust bucket the MG maestro was good tho

  • and i meant the austin maestro see my previous comment

  • well made ads...

  • The Jetta has a bigger "boot" than the Chevrolet Caprice? No way!

  • Jetta 16.6 cu. ft. vs Caprice 20.3 cu. ft... it isn't the shape, it's the math!

  • maestro was heavy and drove like a tank!

  • a prefer to walk

  • its just a shame it wasnt made like one, as it often fell apart like cardboard when it rained after a few years and it sounded like someone rattling a bag of bolts in an old oil can. otherwise it would be just toss intead of completley toss

  • "Don't take the car you'll kill yourself!" Who knows whass' up with that commercial?.. if y'all really hard core 80's commercial buffs...p e a c e

  • Nice Austin-Rover one :o)

The Volvo 440 was 90s though?

  • Love the volvo ad. That car was so bad it would have broken on the way down!

  • which is why they now say Do not atempt on some car commericals!

  • You can't knock the BL stuff produced.
