i don't think you realize that the more people there are, the more opportunities there are for mistakes. you really can't "cover up all the bad people" when they stick out in a uniform band. plus the white shoes and white lines on the pants make mistakes even more distinguishable.

being a large group allows for more targets for mistakes. size doesn't change the standards of which the judges grade bands on.
