  • this was the first season that i was old enough to remember i was 6yrs old at the start of the season. thanks for putting this up and sparking memories of going to games with my dad

  • I get very nostalgic watching this. My parents were at the "May Day" game, I was at Ottawa game 7 with Plante's OT goal, I was at the "No Goal" game. Good and bad Sabres memories live on in my memory and now here; thank you!

  • That team was awesome. LaFontaine, Mogilny and Hawerchuck ... really fun watching those guys.

  • Mogilny in a sombrero? I like it!

  • Just before goalie equipment got ginormous and defensive systems were rare. This was a time when teams could average well over 4 goals a game. 92-93 Sabres were a talented team but not well rounded enough. They lacked defensive d-men, Fuhr was heading into the worst part of his career (1993-95) and their 3rd and 4th lines didn't score much. When they lost Amog and Patty in games 2 and 3 with the Habs, that was too much to handle. Future Sabre teams won more but were less entertaining to watch.

  • 4:37, Ray power play goal. LOL!

  • That team should have done so much more, Alex ans Patty both going down sucked

  • Sabres def should of won in 93 the cup. Sabres beat the beat team out of the conference the bruins.

Fuhr play awesome against the bruins but crappy against the canadiens. I guess thats what happens when u play with a seperated shoulder.

Mogilny lafontaine banged up as well. Sabres healthy they beat the habs and absolutely kill the islanders and kings! Should of been the cup of the sabres in 93!

  • Watching Fuhr was like watching an artist at work... a brilliant, smooth, dramatic style. They don't play like that anymore...

  • hey um kory go suck a dick fagget

  • Great Video. Thank you for bringing back some of the best memories of my life. That was a great year and the Lafontaine and Molginy line was one of our best!

  • hey jimmy this is kory the sabres are the best team in the nhl you and i both know it go sabres

  • Thank you for this video...It brings back great memories...

  • That was a great team. In the playoffs Lafontaine, mogilny and Fuhr all were hurt. Montreal series was all overtime games except 1. buffalo needed a few very good defensive defensemen and they would have went to the finals.

  • in 92-93 the sabres wore the best unform......today i think they rank dead last.....what a shame

  • Really? I love the 3rd jersey and the home/away ones are pretty sharp...I'm just not a big fan of the logo. put the 3rd jersey logo on the home and away....its pretty effen sharp. go sabres

  • How did the Canadiens sweep this team with a great strategy: Brake LaFontaine and Moginly's legs they still had to win three in OT and all four were 1 goal games! 5Hall of Famers and possible 6at year: Anderchuck traded for Fuhr. LaFontaine, Hawerchuck, and Hashek. Mogilny has a chance!

  • If sabres beat the habs that year the sabres would of beaten the isles and the kings as well i agree sabres had a strong chance for the cup that year.

Lafontaine was injured through out the bruins series, mogilny as u mentioned broke his leg. If u remember fuhr also was playing injured throughout the habs series cuz of game 4 against the bruins where he left.

If the sabres were healthy that year they should of won the cup!

  • @PJBATTS They didn't break anyone's legs. Watch the games. Mogilny's was a fluke accident actually caused when a Buffalo defender (Bodger I think) knocked a Hab over Mogilny in a prone position. And Lafontaine had suffered his injury in the previous round but aggravated it in game 3. Habs were up 2-0 in the series before anyone got hurt. When they lost Lafontaine for game 4, it's not like they were coming back from 0-3 down. Fuhr was playing with a groin pull I think. Them's the breaks though.

  • @journeythruthepast still if buffalo was healthy they would of probably won the cup

  • My favorite RJ call that year, "Here Come The Hats, Here Come The Hats." Lets Go Buffalo, heres to the 08 09 run, raise a glass lads.

  • Truely One To Rememeber nice vid Jim, Kev

  • Oh what a save by Fuhr!! RJ had so many great calls back then and still does. Let's Go Buffalo!!

  • Great video man. What a great year that was and I love all the old highlights. I dont think there was a better 1-2 punch duo in history then Lafontaine and Mogilny. Lafontaine ones of the best Americans to ever play the game on Mogilny one of the best Russians to play the game what a combo. Its to bad we couldnt win the cup with them but someday we will Buffalo someday!

  • MOGILNY!

  • very very nice great video man.

  • la la la la lafontaine

i used to collect their cards from cereal boxes

  • gotta love buffalo.

    well done !!

  • That was awesome. Love the video
