i have a 1991 chevrolet blazer S10 Tahoe edition, my speedometer and kilometer counter fade in and out and i have to slam on the dash to get it to flicker back on, seeing how you have a digital dash cluster, if you or anyone has any tips or can help me out it would be greatly apreciated, Thanks

@brokenpsp slam on it eh? Sounds like you have something loose in there probably. Or the solid state circuitry is failing which could just be a circuit board.

Does yours have the Electronic Voice Alert? It seems like all the New Yorkers (pre 1988), on YouTube, at least, have the EVA. I wonder if it came standard on the New Yorkers and E Classes.

digital dashes are fine for "looks" but rarely are they terribly easy to read of useful. every decade or so, some manufacturer tries to make it work, but it's always a bit weird.

It came from the factory that way. I am not sure where you can get one to add aftermarket.

Yeah dude it is magnificient.You no what everyone except americans under estimates the technology of american cars.They only like the shits from Japanese.But these american Gods have a soul,passion and outstanding technology even from the back in ancient period.these cars are legend yeah sometimes if its not properly maintained,it breaks down.But the petrolhead heaven is this.Just like the german engineering.Fun to drive.

If I were in your situation, I would search Ebay for a used one, even put it as a saved search. Another thing to try is pushing on the front of it, sometimes that can reconnect something and make them work for a while again. The last idea is check out this place: mrwhizard dott comm, I think they repair these things

Well, with a little elbow grease, you can get them in pretty good shape. I did a lot to this one to get it to be a reliable driver.

I wish I had the turbo, I have the 1988 chrysler new yorker, with the v6, and a simple boring old school dash board,

only fancy thing I got that you do is the heating system.

I would love if I was able to scrape one of those and have the computer in mine, I like the 1988 new yorker better by looks, but that turbos have so much more tec, I would probably mack comedy movies of my self, something like a knight rider rip off. I should look into that, but great car, thanks for showing it off.

but I want to know if there the same, since there kinda different, but that would be cool, I would love to do a knight rider rip off with me and my car, ideas have all ready came, but I will let you know,

No, but I found one guy online who took everything out of a car that had the digital and talking dash and put it into his daytona. He said it wasnt too hard.
