This is the difference between freerunning and parkour.

Parkour is about getting from point A to point B in the least amount of time possible, with the greatest efficiency. it does not include jumping against a wall and doing a flip. Parkour views walls not as obsctuctions but tools.

Freerunning is using ones surroundings to proform atheletic tricks. Walls as seen as a place to do a trick on.

These two are very different, but placed together because of their similar behavior and moves.

people use freerunning because its a more recognizable term. if you want to get all specific on the differences the good luck, people will shun you anyways because they dont like your definition.

if you havent realized yet, Freeruning is the discipline "created" by Sebastien Foucan, where he basically sais that it consist in the same things that Parkour created by David Belle. Don't know you, but I had never seen Sebastien doing any type of acrobatic movement, and he is the one who created Freeruning.

In other words, Freeruning = Parkour. Don't fuckin understand why people got to do a difference between them.
