  • i loved it when noticed during this episode. Love this show!

  • dopamine baybay!

  • MIMOSA HOSTILIS!

  • @xbukissik couldnt have said it any better.

  • Only problem is, Finn is the last human. Ergo, all the other characters in that scene are not human, and probably don't have pineal glands for DMT to be released from.

  • @machinerage299 plenty of animals carry dmt

  • @machinerage299 Almost every organism has has DMT in it in some shape or form. I also don't see why they wouldn't have a pineal gland if they're not human. It's literally a third eye in reptiles.

  • I would like to get some more nn-dmt. Last time I had it, I accidently touch the flame on it. The first time was pretty trippy. Didn't break through (unfortunately) but was close. I felt at peace with myself and the thought of dying, but now I want to break through an astral project.

  • @darklion53 It's easy to make. Just sayin'.

  • To all faggots who believe drugs are evil and a sin.

    Wake.the fuck.up

  • Dugs make you see the weirdest stuff!

  • @MrQuent5 yes they do. Dopamine, adrenaline, and yes, even dimethyltryptamine.... all naturally occuring substances that are in each person all the time.

  • And he mentions Dopemine haha brilliant.

  • i was waiting for him to say 'WE WERE ALL BORN TO DIE!"

  • I wanted to write something that conveys how awesome I think this scene is. Words fail me.

  • Wow, you see religious arguments everywhere now.

  • I'm like 17 years old. . . and fuck anyone who says I'm too old to watch Adventure Time haha.

  • @Uncovered3rdEye94 Cartoons rule, screw what people say.

  • Yes Finn, this does have serious educational value! ;D

  • I am watching this episode right now, and this scene blew my mind.

  • Pendleton Ward took so much DMT that now he has crazy wizard eyes.

  • NO! Not the Buffalo Wings

  • Every single substance is poisonous to humans

  • @VicariousReality7 Oxygen causes free radicals in the human body. so even that which we need to live kills us. so i say do more drugs

  • the episode is "The Real You"

  • Comment removed

  • Well the creator of this show kinda seems like a druggie (I have no idea if I spelled that right)

  • @JJJer14 I don't think he's necessarily a druggie. He's interested in the esoteric though, and it comes through on the show. Even if he's tripped on psychedelics, I don't think that necessarily makes him a druggie.

  • this video cuts right before fin says EVERYONE IS BORN TO DIE! I need that part --.--

  • was watching this blazed as fuck the other night and the line about dmt blew my mind, i lol'd when i heard it cause i've read the spirit molecule by strassman

  • You left out the best part

"We are born simply to DIE!"

  • they played boards of canada in one episode..that alone is enough proof that this show is completely about psychedelic drugs.

  • @AATCkneegrow no way what episode?

  • @AATCkneegrow Which episode was that?

  • this was the first episode of adventure time i ever took time to sit down and watch with my 7 year old brother and i was so amazed when it mentioned dmt and the pineal gland! of course i brother didnt catch a word of it but my jaw dropped because when was the last time you heard someone talk about dmt on tv let alone a cartoon?

  • Blew my mind yesterday when my nephew was watchin this shit haha

  • thought i was the only one who noticed wtf ha

  • This is the first cartoon I've ever heard Dimethyltryptamine mentioned in - fantastic!

  • @clubberdude who?

  • no he doesnt... he doesnt say anything about the drug DIMETHYLTRYPTAMINE runs freely through your brain its what makes you dream. dmt drug is the exact same thing but it releases while awake so you trip. DIMETHYLTRYPTAMINE also comes out when your born and when you die. other then that its not the drug they say its the actual source that is running through your pineal gland all the time...

  • There are no negative side affects of DMT, we produce it naturally ourselves. Anyways, DMT is speculated to be released by the pineal gland, its not proven yet, however many (including myself) believe this to be true and believe that DMT is the key to something much greater. Regardless, the creator of this show obviously knows his psychedelics and the show is full of references to them. (One episode Finn exclaims how he loves sugar cubes.. LSD anyone?, also the obvious shrooms in many episodes)

  • @kanttouchthis11 Are you kidding me? Just because something is produced naturally does not in any way mean that there are no side effects. When juice-heads start taking steroids their bodies stop producing as much testosterone naturally and it has plenty of dangerous side effects. Your body produces Vitamin D naturally from sun exposure, but taking too much of it orally is certainly dangerous. Why would DMT be any different? Just because DMT may be natural does not make supplementing it safe.

  • @inlawJW Find me a report of a DMT overdose (lethal or negative lasting side-effects) or any proven long-term side effects of prolonged and/or single-time use of DMT.. then you'll have an argument.

  • @kanttouchthis11 Honestly, I don't find it to be a bad thing when used responsibly and I don't know who your addressing, but every drug does have it's cases for harm. Stating the obvious, but it can cause onset of Schizophrenia in people at risk with family histories. I've personally seen friends do it too much and start acting very very strange and unstable. Of course, the effects went away when use of all hallucinogens stopped. Saying there are no bad effects just isn't true though.

  • Lol Finn is sooooooooooo cute <3

  • Adventure time isn't a kid show, one time ice king was saying oh I see stuff that isn't there and it's always confusing me with whats real or somehting like that, then we got a view through his eyes and you could see a bunch of psychedelic shit. this show is for druggies and i fucking love it

  • I already loved this show and now i do alot more.

  • This whole episode was a giant allusion to psychedelics. :B

  • I've heard people talk of Adventure Time. Never watched it because I thought it was just one of those kiddy show bandwagons adults like to hop on sometimes. Like Dora the Explorer. I hate that show. Either way, I can clearly see that this show isn't anything like I originally thought it was. I must check it out now.

  • The people who can't believe that this was in a children's show have obviously never watched a full episode of adventure time and realized who it's really made for.

  • i cant believe they put this in a kids show!!! finally teaching these kids something important!!! and no im not being sarcastic lol

  • YOU SHOULD ALL SMOKE DMT AND JOIN MY COLT MOTHERFUCKERS!!... Joey Rogan anyone?

  • YES! Drug references in child cartoons. The world is getting better. Now all we need is the death of the Kardipshitiums and we will be half-way toward bliss.

  • Even the cartoon people know :)

  • DMT is dumb :p its side effects are horrible, never doing that shit again. its ashame that they put it on kids shows and expose such a horrible drug :\

  • @sergio311 what side affects

  • @sdots212 schizophrenia, delusions, real hallucination in plain sight. this is the stuff they don't talk about in the books or t.v. i mean ... why would they ? DMT is like the coolest drug ever that "awakens you from your dumb shell of lower consciousness" right ? hahaah Nah. its no good. cool ... but no good.

  • @sergio311 smoking DMT doesn't cause schizophrenia...thats more LSD. DMT, when smoked correctly blasts yor soul out on an OBE into the 4th dimension? When you come down and awake back in flatland, you'll see mild symmetric patterns moving in synchronicity. Sometimes the 4d look can stick for a minute, thats really special stuff. Its only happened to me once, it was like every object in the room extended and had a blue grid extension. I've never seen beings or deities maybe this could cause fear?

  • @sdots212 since when does LSD "cause schizophrenia"? i could see ANY psychedelic (including DMT) causing problems in a person with mental health issues

and the beings could definitely cause fear but since they're a more commonly reported thing (positive and negative) i think it could go either way. light elves or whatever

  • @sergio311 It's a natural chemical produced by your body to induce dreams, which are vital to the problem solving of the average human being. You say it's no good? Oh, my friend, it IS good ;)

  • @sergio311 Iv never had bad side effects on DMT. Im always left with a feeling of happiness, bliss, and a new understanding of empathy towards others and if you didn't have a good experience I feel sorry for you because it changed my life and i never forget being outside my body in the giant circus of a universe we dwell in being pumped full of knowledge.

  • @sergio311 you sure you didnt smoke salvia? DMT makes everything feel blissful & in harmony. i smoke it once or twice a month for 2 years now. never had any problems. just people asking me to share :)

  • @sdots212 Just wanted to give you the thumbs up for accurately describing a DMT trip.

  • This is the best show EVER!

  • Amazing, I hope kids do get on to the references in here just to tell them what there parents are probably ignorant over

  • Amazing, I hope kids do get on to the references in here just to tell them what there parents are probably ignorant over

  • Brilliant. The revolution just started officially.

  • excuse me but Dr. Rick Strassman is not the only one to theorize that DMT is produced in the pineal gland, DMT the spirit molecule (the book) is a bit dated compared to the spirit molecule documentary that was just recently released. In this documentary they pretty much state that the pineal gland produces DMT and it is Scientifically accepted as fact, check out the documentary, its really great.

  • @ninclosernin would you disclose the scientific studies proving that DMT is produced in the pineal gland?

I don't remember the documentary stating it as "a scientifically accepted fact".

  • @ninclosernin no,l Rick Strassman has stated quite clearly that he had no intention of presenting the pineal gland theory as fact. He is frustrated that people are taking it that way and doesn't understand why so many people are. You are one of them. Not that it's really important where dmt is produced. They do know for a fact that dmt is in the human body.

  • This is amazing.

  • This.. explains so much.

  • This generation's kids are going to wake up quicker than we did rofl. I can just imagine the kid who loves this episode, goes to his 6th grade science class the next day...

Teacher: Okay class, what does the pineal gland produce?

    Kid 1: Uhh.. adrenaline?

    Kid 2: Dopermine?

    Awesome Kid: DIMETHYLTRYPTAMINE

    Teacher: Uhm, what is that?

-Kid goes home to look it up-

    -Journey towards consciousness advancement ensues-

-Unlocked by Spirit Molecule at age 13-

    -win-

  • @PureBlackMetal That WOULD be great, but unfortunately this generation of youth has enough trouble spelling words with 4 or more letters. I don't think google suggestions could help any attempts they might make. Most of what they know about drugs is learned from major government misinformation projects, like D.A.R.E. and Above the Influence. Thankfully, the internet showed up, and now anyone has the ability to research for themselves to learn the real truths instead of the crap they were taught.

  • @SecludedMemory Yes, but sites like Erowid and DMT-Nexus and other informative communities exist to spread knowledge and correct utilization of this akashic soul technology.

  • DMT = Dumb Molecule Trap ( by the government ) hahah

Thumbs up if you're REALLY awake,

  • @sergio311 ...URFUCKIN STUPID....AND UR ASLEEP HOE!

  • @PureBlackMetal

My friend did DMT at 15 o_o

  • @sXeish So what...

  • @PureBlackMetal yay im the awesome kid I love this show and im 12 :3

  • @iAreAless lol now all you gotta doo is read some on DMT

  • This blew my mind!

Also, I'm pretty sure DMT isn't released when the body is under stress... Feels like the writer just wanted to put that in there for fun :P

  • we can't really say much about endogenous DMT. there was a relatively popular book called DMT the Spirit Molecule written by Dr. Rick Strassman, and it outlined experiments he conducted on humans with DMT. however, there was also a large part of the book that was just postulation, and in that section he made the famous claims that DMT is endogenously created in the pineal gland (as finn says) and is released in near death experiences.

  • (continued) many people in the psychedelic subculture accept strassman's postulations as fact, but in reality, there is no scientific evidence to support them, only the purported subjective similarity of a DMT experience to a near death experience.

  • @lampshademan8990 and actually, Strassman has stressed that the pineal gland theory is only a theory, and he never presented it as fact.

  • @lampshademan8990 Yeah that's only because Strausman didn't want to continue his work after the book was done. Mainly he was too freaked out by the results he got with experiments he did do. I think he's right and I'm pretty sure I've heard from other sources that in DMT has been found to be present in the brain during the deepest stages of sleep.

  • @lampshademan8990 "only the purported subjective similarity of a DMT experience to a near death experience."

What does that have to do with the pineal gland?

  • @lampshademan8990 Sure. What you fail to realize is that there are large unexplainable amounts of DMT in our blood and urine. Where else does it come from?!!!!! Just take a glance at the pineal gland and you will see that it makes lots of chemicals that are very closely related to DMT.

  • @Arcknagar That's not even remotely true. If you looked at the actual studies done on endogenous DMT, scientists and only about 10 micrograms (10−9 g) per a liter of blood at the absolute most. Not a lot all.

  • @Babs0117 Okay, so take away the "large" from my statement and it is still mind blowing! Where is it coming from????!??!?!?!?! Certainly not the place that makes chemicals that are SOOOOO similar that it's ridiculous to ignore! The point is that it IS in fact in us! I can't know for sure yet, but It is safe to put some money on the fact that it does come from the pineal gland. BTW... DMT is absolutely amazing and I have a hard time feeling like it is a bad thing to do. Try it everybody! Be safe

  • @lampshademan8990 its not only the psychedelic subculture that thinks that, but the indians of the amazon. ever hear of ayahuasca? when you drink that you pretty much die.

  • @zodiac09 Any psychedelic can actually produce ego death. Ayahuasca is pretty much a naturally made brew of DMT-containing plants and MAOI's to make it active. The worst thing I've read about is the throwing up part, which is supposed to have a purification/purging effect. But it definitely doesn't kill you. It can give you ego death like any other psychedelic.

  • @TheOneartist You need to be careful with Ayahuasca though. I wanna do it but I want to do it with Shamans and people of spiritual background. I've heard stories of what can happen if you're not mentally prepared for it and I want to take precautions with such a powerful substance. I am not afraid of it, just want some safe environment with it.

  • Comment removed

  • @Uncovered3rdEye94 I'll probably never have the means to use ayahuasca anyway, I'm just setting the facts straight. It certainly can't kill you like that other guy said. Also I'm a Christian, so I don't believe in shamanism, but I do believe in using psychedelics for spirituality.

I'm interested in smoking DMT at some point, too, but right now my focus is delving deeper into shrooms. Definitely aware of all the precautions that come with psychedelics.

  • @TheOneartist When you ever feel ready for DMT I highly reccomend it. Its one of my best experiences ever.

  • @TheOneartist shamanism pretty much IS using psychedelics for spirituality.. i don't know if everyone could agree on one solid definition but that is pretty damn close haha. anyway, regardless of what you believe, there is no way these plants and our brains could interact with each other in such a profound way by accident. either they were "designed" that way, evolved that way, or both.

  • @blastbeatdown You don't have to take psychedelics in order to be a shaman. That's like saying you have to take weed to be a Rasta. From what I've gathered, shamanism is communication with the spirit world and different spirits.

I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour, so that's why I don't want to get involved with that. Plus, I've talked to a former shaman that had spirits turn against him.

And I've felt the same way-God definitely has a purpose with weed and psychedelics.

  • @TheOneartist Shamans do take drugs, fact, and the lord and saviour jesus christ was a real nice guy probably, but the church USED his reputation to make evil stuff, like creating the fucking EVIL itself, and trow in your life. AND CONTROL HUMANS WITH A MEDIOCRE RELIGION

  • @lickingfrog I know that shamans take drugs. What I meant is that drugs aren't necessary for you to be a shaman. You can be a shaman without them.

Also, I'm aware of the atrocities and hypocrisy within the church, just like the government. If I agreed with everything in the church, then I wouldn't be using psychedelics now would I?

Being a Christian means believing in Jesus Christ and believing in the word of the Bible. Doesn't mean you have to go to church. But there are good ones out there.

  • @TheOneartist to each his own buddy.. if you have found your path to enlightenment with or without entheogens i'm happy for you. the story goes that jesus spent 40 days fasting alone in the wilderness.. that will definitely alter your consciousness. yoga and meditation are also known to do this. many like myself just choose psychedelic sessions and i who is anyone to say which is better, more natural, or more holy? anything that came from nature is holy to me.

  • @blastbeatdown Yeah, I definitely believe in psychedelic use. I think it's ridiculous how people have come to be such judges about it.

I was just saying that taking psychedelics for spiritual use doesn't automatically make you a shaman, as that's an altogether different belief system. It's a belief system not influenced by whether or not you take drugs.

But yeah, I'm a Christian and I believe in psychedelics for spiritual use, as well as for creativity and other uses. Definitely not a sin.

  • @TheOneartist am i the only atheist here that thinks you guys are on psychedelics right now? or am i NOT alone in my thought process? And how do you get a religious argument out of the funniest cartoon evar? the world may never know.

  • @lampshademan8990 Not that you personally said anything BUT... it takes a near death experience to trip balls, and while tripping you may die from it? by that i mean if Finn (et al) were tripping DMT (from this experience) they couldn't combat the black hole from the 4d bubble.

sorry im drunk, about to pass out. I just wanted to watch "finn and jake at the library" and it led me to this

  • @brodersami or, a lot of people just have misconceptions. Not everyone is a scientist. How much can you expect a cartoon writer to know? And in this case, it is unknown where dmt is produced, or what role it plays in animals. I don't think dopamine is produced in the pineal gland either. Or, maybe the writer did just want to throw that in there. To add controversy? I don't know.

  • @brodersami

i read/heard somewhere that DMT can be released in a few occasions:

    mediation

    sexual ecstasy

    being born/near death exp.

& extreme stress was 1 too

  • @brodersami it is in our urine all the time... its just not psychoactive unless there is maoi's

  • @brodersami I also dont think this dude went 3 hits deep

  • @brodersami DMT is a natural chemical released by your body when you die, when you're born and when women give birth. If those aren't stressful situations im not quite sure what are lol.

  • @brodersami When the body is under a lot of stress such as the moment before death your pineal gland releases DMT.

  • lol thats the goods!

  • BEST THING EVAR

  • HAHA YES

  • Thank you VERY much!

  • awesome! thanks for uploading!
