I have apathy towards those who says there is no "proof" or mere evidence of the existence of God. The laws, of which science has created, uses proofs, right? There is no way that you can tell me that all "proofs" are examinable through scientific testing in laboratories. The proofs in which one is looking for as evidence of God, he or she will never find because he or she has narrowed his or her understanding of what a "proof" really is.

You don't pray for him to just snap his fingers and make everyhting ok. You pray to him for guidence and help on your way to making the world a better place. So yes in a way you're right about people needing to do things for themselves, but you're also wrong about people relying on God to do it for them.
