Grossman had better stats than every qb in the league last year except rivers (14 W's to 13)

the defense lost that game for us against the giants and our wide receivers couldn't catch a beachball if it was thrown to them. rex has played well since he got benched. and your comment about kyle orton kicking the tar out of opponents is nothing more than bullshit. we had a GREAT running game when orton was QB and he didn't need to throw the ball over 4 yards to get a first down.

LAST YEAR I backed Rex because he had never played an entire season until 2006, he started the season looking like Superman in Sept. You can't say that Rex doesn't have the TOOLS, because he's shown he CAN play. Rex is a total head case though!! He makes horrible decisions that COST games! I can't back this guy ANYMORE. I'm DONE rooting for the guy to do well. He is UNRELIABLE, GETTING WORSE and has NO CONFIDENCE. I'm DONE WITH HIM.

Here how you can tell Rex Grossman is/was really bad...He lost to John Navarre and UM in a bowl game! (Yeah, that game that Lloyd Carr can't seem to win) As a UM fan who takes sh** the irony is hilarious! All a team has to do is get "marginal" pressure on King Rex and he totally implodes. UM won because Rex couldn't handle the pressure...maybe he was thinking about New Year's Eve in 2003 too.

john, qb rating exists for YOU to try to gauge performance since you cant tell yourself by watching. qb rating is a formula for everything (yards, comps, ints, and tds) per attempt. baseball has a similar stat that tells people that bonds homers once every 11.8 ABs. this tells you NOTHING about how good a hitter he is. he could hit 1HR and then strike out the other 10.8 at bats and you would never know. Grossman had better stats than every qb in the league last year except rivers (14 W's to 13)

qbs, like pitchers, are the only ones who people really talk about their "record as a starter." i am not claiming that grossman won those games himself. a qb CAN perform well without a good rating (see drops, smart throw-aways, etc.) dont be sold on grossman, thats fine. his teammates are as are bears fans. i think he'll prove many people wrong this season (maybe me, but i doubt it) just watch the games.
