  • Lol, I have forever associated this song with Tetris. XD

  • I wonder if bach would have played tetris...

  • too fast? too slow xD for a good guitar riff

  • shut your eyes, you'd swear someone was playing Tetris :)

  • French suite bo. 3 AKA Tetris Theme C, love it! I also play it but on the piano. I will point out two things for you: at 0:32 - 0:33 you play a F#major in the left hand. It is supposed to be a minor key. Also you should learn the Trio part since it is meant to be played alongside the Menuet.

On the positive side: I loved the performance and your instrument. Good job :D

  • It's not Bach, it's Tetris! Nah just kidding, I only discovered today that one of the tetris songs was actually BAch ;-)

  • RED FALLING BLOCKS! :D

  • Kuro Keys? :O

  • TETRIS MUSIC :D

  • tetris hell yes

  • I think it's b- minor in this piece. Not b minor. But great song. Just as it was ment to be.

  • i rember this beuty melody from tetris & dr.mario

  • Video and sound aren't in sync.

    Good job.

  • oh holy shit this is the suite i´ve been looking for for at least 4 months, and now i finaally found it :D and holy mother i usually play this at 72, but this was still awesome!

  • GOOD!

  • harpsichords rock hard and yer tempo is too fast

  • nice one, fun challenging piece to play.

  • cool. a harpsicord :)

  • i want that old school piano!!!!! i want it soooo bad

  • Tetris Music type C FTW!

  • good job, this is a sweet song

  • What's to criticize? I loved it. Give us more. Your instrument has a smooth, velvety sound.

  • Besides there being no repeats, I think that was a perfect tempo and it was played quite well. I would say to linger more at the ends of phrases to show the beginnings of new phrases. This can be done by putting a "cautionary" fermata over the very ends of phrases. For example: try putting a slight emphasis on beat 1 of m. 5, a lift at the end of m. 8, an accent on beat 1 of m. 13. Try to place a ritardando at the end of the two major sections, especially the last 3 quarter notes at the end.

  • Put the Tetris C tag up there!

  • Cool, Tetris C!

  • I cant quite make it out, does that harpsichord say CLAVIER BAROQUES? or something else

  • does that harpsichord say CLAVIERS BAROQUES on it?

  • those 49 seconds felt like 5 min of bliss

  • it doesnt seem too fast. If anything i feel like it was too slow lol.

    love this song

  • favorite tetris song!

  • This is one of my favorite of the 6 French Suites. Well-played! I posted a video response of me playing the Allemande from this same suite.

  • this is the tetris C theme music. love it!

  • i don't think you played it too fast...

  • Bach is God!

  • I love harpsichord

  • can i ask some questions??

what make is this? and did you play according to the notes beacuse the pitch is different when i compared it to my piano.i played along with this and the harpsichord and my piano have different tunes..nice job by the way!

  • It is the French Single kit model from the Paris Workshop. Mine was professionally built. The reason the pitch is different is because I was playing in Baroque pitch, which is approximately a semitone lower in pitch than modern pitch.

  • oh thanks for telling me..now i know why :)

  • @rexunculus hi, i was wondering if you could tell me where i can find more info on the baroque pitch please

  • Some people tune with an A that is much lower than 440hz

  • oh ok..that makes sense..thank you :)

  • Nice performance. For my taste, I could go a little slower still. Work on playing with very quiet hands that just float above the keys --- you have lots of vertical motion in your playing still. Use the arms to float the hand to the right place on the keyboard; let the fingers stroke the keys. See if you can play this piece without ever losing physical contact between the keys and the fingers. Good harpsichord touch takes time to develop, but it will change the sound of your playing.

  • Thank you, that helps a lot!

  • um... why is i so fast.... meneut is a SLOW PIECE!

  • tetris

  • Yes, Type B on the Game Boy.

  • Type C, not B.

  • yes type c

  • It's a nice performance, but I would love to hear it much slower, it's a dance, with more expression, little hesitations, and rubato, with a cantabile lilt, as if people were dancing to it before your eyes.

  • Thank you, I appreciate the advice.

  • Tetris my balls, goddamn!!!, this is BACH!

  • when i play it the ending is different...it sucks

    you play it better!!!

  • You have such gorgeous hands! Those endless pinkies are so HOT!

  • Tetris!

  • I realised I made a mistake in calling your harpsicord a piano. I noticed only moments after I had watched your video. Much apologies. Still a great performance.

  • It isn't possible to give "more volume" on this instrument, which incidentally is a harpsichord, NOT a piano.

(The only thing more irritating than an armchair expert is an excruciatingly ignorant armchair expert!)

'Nice performance - thank you rexunculus.

  • Yes, i agree with your opinion on how you played it to fast. More volume on the low notes. By the way, great performance, and very nice piano.

  • As our friend said, there is no possibilities to apply dynamics, because the clavicembalo's mechanical doesn't allow.

  • played exacly good

  • you mean, "in" Tetris."

  • music move from old tetris

  • Nice.

    It's also from Tetris

  • Who built your instrument? Flawless performance by the way, no matter what these stuck up music critics say about it.

  • Thank you! This instrument is the "French single" kit from the Paris Workshop. It was professionally assembled, however, by Claviers Baroques in Toronto.

  • Good job. Come to think of it, this is music C from the gameboy edition of tetris :P

  • I have experimented with a few ornaments but haven't found any that I like. I do intend to add them when my skill level improves.

  • nicely played

  • That was quick....
