I'm a senior in high school, so listening to this song reminds me of all the memories I've made with friends but also quickly supplants the joy of reliving these experiences with the knowledge that it will never be the same. That I can't go back. Even the adorable little kitty is (viewed a certain way) appropriate; he, like time, can only go forward.

Im an Azuma advocate, and I have to say, you've really misinterpreted the ED song. If your looking at Anime lyrics or whatever translation, I think you'd realize via watching the show its about knowing when to fly and say goodbye, and how they'll always be friends, and see each other later... building relationships- if you want to take things that literally, sureee..

Heaven doesn't literally have to be the afterlife, but perhaps home. She leaves home to find herself, and eventually she will return, "cast herself to heaven".

Since she left to go find herself, she feels she isn't ready to stay. "Where could I go in this vessel".

Maybe I'm wrong and you're right, but for a show like this, which seems more right?
