  • Impeach the Muslim.

  • What's to get? We all know money grows on trees, anyone who thinks differently is a racist!! (sarcasm)

  • reform is needed Yes we all know this. But how do you pay for it. We are 12 tril. in debt. That over 37 k per man, woman, and child in the US. But you cant get what you cant pay for. The country cant pay for this. WTF do people not get about this. We cant spend any more money. Just study out your history people. This will kill this nation. we will fall.

  • yalls needs to understand that obamas is a communist and the antichrists, hes starting the new world orders and getting the femas camps redies.wake ups america! my pastor said the tree of liberties need to bleed with the liberals so we can all be frrees! were from kentucy and the countries and wes like it that way obamas!

  • Thank you President Obama for helping to explain the reason we need Health Reform.

  • 0:15- 0:38 is a LIE!!!

  • Soft ball pre-digested questions. Obama is a liar and this meeting is a farce! Outside there were thousands of protesters against Obamacare.

  • You DAMN LIAR!! I do like mine, BUT..you want me to pay for Rosa's & mohamed's & rastus's & Lee Ho's and every other sort of scum that slithers over the border because your black sorry ass tells them about all the FREE shit your criminal admin will give them. Screw you..all you need to do is produce a true and correct Birth Certificate or concede the election and confess to what a phony damn imposter you are.

  • Here we go again calling each other nasty names. You wouldn't do in public, it's cowardice, it's childish and accomplishes nothing!

A public option is a good plan. Insurance companies are presently charging outrageous fees, changing the fine print once a policy is paid for, denying pre-existing conditions and making billions!

We must make congress pay into Medicare like everyone else of us pee-ons have too! Stop dr fee for service!

    These are good first steps!

  • The issue up for discussion is REFORM... the healthcare industry serves one group right now - insurance companies - and we need reform to make sure that we are all not being taken advantage of. The government isn't going to take over your life, they want to reform the current poorly performing system. We are talking about SAVING MONEY, instead of wasting it.

  • okay stop trying to be funny, your not, this is a serious f*****g subject! take it like a man, and realize u ARE WRONG!

  • Lie at 0:15

  • Restore the Republic!!! Ron Paul 2012!!!

  • faaaaaaaaaaaaake! fuck obama!!!

  • Here's a shocker, No one is entitled to health insurance! Really, if you can afford it then you can get it. If you can't then you can't. Insurance is the reason that doctors are so expensive anyway because they create incentive for doctors to charge more money. What we need is a good old-fashioned boycott of insurance altogether to drive down the cost of health care.

  • I'm saying this and I can't afford health insurance. Thats my fault. I don't make enough money. Its not the governments or your fault so why should you pay for it?

  • because something coservidums dont get we are 1 nation id be willing to pay higher taxes to give u health care in this country we should help those who cant help themselves but is trying to many selfish fucks in this country

  • Senior citizens aren't entitled to healthcare? Disabled people? Veterans? These people are on medicare and medicaid. As for the rest of the country with no health insurance, 80% of them are working people. So who are you talking about when you talk about entitlement? The 3% of non-working people? Do you want to talk about the job market right now? You're saying that the only thing that entitles someone to healthcare is whether they can afford it. Newsflash: not everyone with money worked for it.

  • I especially liked the tough question Obama got from the daughter of one of his staffers.

How can he handle such tough questioning.

He said AARP endorsed his plan. We know that is a lie. He said the post office is broke yet UPS and FedEX are flurishing. Speaks volumes about his desire to have the government takeover health care. I'm surprised his staged event here that people didn't start singing kum baya my lord kum baya...

  • THIS ISNT ABOUT ""HEALTHCARE"" THIS IS ABOUT OBAMA AND HIS CRONIES TAKING OVER 16% OF THE GROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT, STEALING OUR MONEY. get it thru ur thick skulls, he's a communist

  • your a fool u rather beleive bullshit rather than see things as they are insurance rates are off the chain it needs reform dummy

  • 7) All the government needs to do to reform the medical services system is allow competition. Competition would work in that industry, just like it works in every other industry.

    8) But the government doesn't allow competition in that industry. As long as they don't allow competition, the problems aren't going to be solved, and medical services will get more expensive all the time.

  • 4) True reform of the system must address 2 and 3. Reform that ignores 2 and 3 is not meaningful reform. These real problems are not being solved.

    5) If 2 and 3 were addressed and solved, there would be no need for insurance. Medical costs would drop 90%.

    6) Nothing is gained by "reforming" a system with a lousy performance record, without addressing the lousy performance record.

    (continued)

  • Obama's entire "healthcare reform" effort overlooks the real facts:

    1) Medical services are not a right. Medical services are purchased, just like any other service.

    2) Medical services are part of the problem. The medical system in America has the worst performance record and highest failure record of any industry in America.

    3) Medical people don't get paid to solve problems. They get paid to treat problems. So they want to treat as much as possible.

    (continued)

  • As an outsider all I can wonder is why so many people are channelling all their energy in to shouting down their representatives rather than having a coherent discussion about this.

If these reforms turn out to be everything Obama promises here, this could mark a monumental and great achievement for the US. It's citizens should be concentrating on making sure his promises here are carried out by scrutinising the drafted legislation rather than ranting some diatribe about 'marxism' etc

  • Just understand that there is a BETTER WAY...I do not understand why people are so stuck in their ways. When I lived in the USA as long as I was working i wasfine except for increasing co-pays, when I changed jobs or was between jobs it was a nightmare

  • I have tried to say this before guys...I am a Canadian who have lived in the US for 15 years. Please guys, understand that NO ONE in Canada is ever told what Doctor to see, what procedures to take, what meds to take, etc. We have 100% FREE choice - the government just pays for everything - a single payer system. Just like Medicare. I can go to ANY Dr. ANY Hospital, ANYTIME.

The system Obama is building is a hybrid - which will make it better than even the Canadian one

  • yeah, styleomatic, look at home loans. under the bush administration, we took government involvement out, and we got the worst recession since the great depression. the government plays an important role in regulation. obama is not trying to have the government RUN health care. it will just setup rules and help regulate the market, while still allowing for a free market system. it's the best of both worlds.

  • Then what has been doing for the past 7 months burning money like he made it flying all over the world, buying 28mil homes and telling us to we have to with less while he is taking more, you need to read the 100,pages of this bill you will be shocked, well maybe you will be. And that town hall meeting in Portsmith what a joke another canned set up.

  • gdmorgan - I am no fan of Bush but it was the democrats who blocked regulation of fannie and freddie. Get the facts before you post.

The gov't set up rules and regulations for education and we all have seen how well that has gone. Funny that the best education to be had is in the private schools, not gov't run. Let's learn from history, not repeat it.

  • Some of those "preconditions" can be something as negligable as a hang nail, or even something that had happened in the past but is no longer problematic. "you've been dropped because of allergies".

  • of course health insurance doesnt accept you if you have a precondition. That is bad business, really bad business. It would be like getting car insurance and expecting them to pay for your already broken down car. I don't want the government to make the insurance keep me, or accept me. That will just make prices go up, and quality go down.

  • Braced for a fight he never got, President Barack Obama went on the offensive in support of his health care plan...by taking a question about the protesters outside and their "mean signs" from the 13-year-old daughter of an Obama campaign worker. Wow. He must really believe in his healthcare plan to stick his face in that buzzsaw.

  • Good point... I think Obama needs to talk to these people head-on.... Line by line with this bill and set them straight.

  • Um here is my problem, what he is saying doesn't mirror what I have read in the bill.On another note I live in 1 of the most popular cities for retirees. The 1st thing EVERYONE told me when I moved here is if you have to go to the hospital drive 1 1/2 hrs to the next town because the hospital care in my city is so bad. 2nd thing I found out is everyone who lives here and can afford it drives 1 1/2-2hrs to go to the doctor and getting into a doctor in my city as a new patient is almost impossible.

  • Why is that the case because no decent doctor wants to work here because they don't want to deal with Medicare a gov't run insurance plan, so there is a great shortage of doctors and quality care in my city. I would hate to see that happen nation wide. Hopefully that wouldn't happen. Hopefully all politicians will act responsibly and draft a bill that will help all Americans. I am just concerned.

  • I can see why you are so concerned. All you want is to go to a competent doctor that isn't an hours drive outside of where you live. You deserve that. We need to fix that, and you need to be talking to your local representatives about this issue, not just here on Youtube.

  • Flat-rate no-limit primary care works in Seattle and doesn't include insurance OR government. Something everyone can agree on.

Why don't we just do that?

  • government healthcare is another way to ID everyone on the federal level.

  • Are you speaking of the number of the Beast?

I think there is a misconception here. The government plan would be JUST ONE of many plans that would have to compete with all the private insurance plans that are already available. If you don't want the government's plan, you don't have use it. Stay with who you have now. If you DON'T have ANY health insurance. I hope you don't get sick or get injured in any way because the real Beast is that 20,000 dollar bill that you'll be paying off.

  • I don't want the government to be involved in anything other than defense, (not occupations) and directing a decent monetary policy.

Washington can't run anything. Can you imagine if the government had run the computer industry from it's beginning? We'd still be using $175 calculators with NO growth.

Do you know why the department of energy was set up? Wahsington's answer: "To reduce our dependence on foreign oil"

    That worked out, huh?

  • Ill site an example - private companies cannot compete against a company running for no profit

  • Apparently Obama has not read the bill. (HR 3200). I think he needs to read it before he does a town hall. Most of what he says is not in the bill it is the opposite. I recommend everyone read it. Do a Google search for hr 3200 and read it.

  • Bullshit cite a specific example or shut your goddamn mouth.

  • Wow, that was harsh.

  • typical idiot

  • You still did not provide a single example and I am the idiot? Why don't you back up your assertions?

    Typical idiot indeed.

  • First of all, there are many Health Care bill proposals in Congress right now. 3 proposals have made it out of committee in the House and 1 bill in Senate has passed the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. The bill of which you speak is NOT the only draft of this legislation. These proposals are going to be scrutinized and picked apart before any one true Health Care Bill can pass any floor vote in the House or the Senate. I will read it, and I hope others do as well.
