Well I never heard Marco say "Gothic Romance" but like I said, he says silly things. Both he and Tuomas stated many times that they weren't and aren't gothic metal. They've always been symphonic metal.

A voice cannot categorize a band, the music does. That's why it's called a MUSIC genre. They play the same kind of music so they are the same kind of music. And who the hell cares? She's just having a good time. Tarja danced odd as well.

In the romanian concert Palace Hall Bucharest Marco introduced the phantom of the opera as "We are going to play a little Gothic Romance here on the stage with misis Turunen". And if you look on stage videos tarja actually headbanged, and she was pretty good at it, spinning her hair as metal-heads do:D I'm not blaming Anette as a person, i hav eno problem with her, i just think she killed all that Dark feeling we got used to by growing up with Nightwish...It's empty now...

You can see Tarja doing such on a lot of live clips. Just look around. Tarja is not "gothic" and that's not her "clothing style". She just wore that on stage...like playing dress up.
