sadly freeport raceway is no more. :( it was bought and tore down late last year. I have may memmories there like on a kids night my dad's friend Todd Lower got in a crash, he was in a back brace for a while and is now 2 inches short.
In my basement we have four feet of water and we were struck by lightning 3 times since. this house is bad luck! I live by the Walmart and Menards. it shows up the road from me at the museum at 2:28-2:38.

As always flooding and the loss that accompanies it is so sad and unfortunate. The boundaries of the flood effect has exceeded the east side of town and for that seems to be drawing nation wide attention. For years the east side of town has experienced flooding and it seems the residence were only pacified with "victim relief" and not repair to avoid flooding.
I dont know what can be done, but I know something can be done and Im sure now that the victims exceed the eastside residence (low income people) that something will be done, tried, looked into. While the powers that be look into it......maybe they can put a fire station on the east side too. And no more dumping snow in Taylor Park!!!! I was born and raised in Freeport Illinois and 40 years later this is still an issue. My God!
