@RobertPeetersPiano Nice way to cover up your mistakes... There's a few discrepancies between what you play on the piano and what you hear. Careful... As much as I wanted to do that, I think it's only right to not edit out mistakes, or try to cover it up with re-takes and changing camera shots.
@HNXakido Maybe, but there are parts where he's playing wrong notes in the video, but since the audio was recorded previously he's overlapping the recording with the video, thus covering up any incorrect notes.
@MrPeterJohnston It's extremely difficult to play exactly the same 6 or 10 times. But that's the only way we can do it, since we have only one camera.
@RobertPeetersPiano Hey - I know... I'm trying to do a Pirates of the Caribbean Medley for Piano. I just forego the moving camera and train my fingers to try and get the piece sounding right every time...
Believe me - I know how you feel. I've spent the last two weeks practicing that Medley, all to try and get that one perfect take. I'm just saying - don't sacrifice your training to do it in bits, train yourself and practice right to get that consistency time and time again. I'm doing the same
@MrPeterJohnston Maybe he played flawlessly for the audio and didn't mind too much in the video.
I guess it could be called covering up mistakes by editing but he if the audio was produced in one take he still proved that he's able to play the piece in one go.
@HNXakido True... that is also true... Didn't think about that.
I have seen people in the past on YouTube, editing clips and even editing the audio. It's very hard to hear at times but I become skeptical about some players.
I still love the music and I did like the performance... I still struggle at times to try and play flawlessly in my performances, but it's something I want to work on, and something I think every piano performer should try to do.
Wow what an uplifting and cheerful rendition, feels like anything is possible :D
Think it reminds me a bit of a mixture of "Flying" from the Peter Pan soundtrack & The theme song for Free Willy "Will you be there" by Michael Jackson

@MrPeterJohnston I don't think he edited mistakes, the audio was just recorded before the video and then put together.
