I'd like to see a little more breath and vibrato control. Power, tonal quality, and pitch accuracy are excellent.

she is not a tosca, nor is she a wally. i apologize, but this performance is horrendous. she is a LIGHT voice type, NOT DRAMATIC. she sings this repertoire with no style, no real technique, no color, no interpretation, and no acting skills what so ever. i doubt she's received real training, and if she has then someone has COMPLETELY misinformed her on how to sing, what she should be singing, and how to go about making a career of it. i think this singer would be nice in lighter rep with WORK.

she is standing on a rastrum singing with trams running behind her and people all around. This is not a stage interpetation , this is introducing opera to people who may or may not have ever heard this music. Consolations must be made. It takes a great deal of courage and stamina to do this and your harsh and unactue synopsis overlooks more than it is poignant regarding. Some of you up tight purists are the exact reason opera remains behind closed doors..lighten up and enjoy..

Your comment is as funny as it is WRONG. Inform yourself and then make your comments. As for how to make a career, she is and doing so on her own terms, not waiting around for someone else to decide. You sound jealous and bitter . You do make some interesting points but the puritan in you won't let you see past what she is trying to do and or how much people appreciate her . Beautiful ! Bravo, Gabriel. I 've had to supplement my income with busking for many years, & I know how difficult it can be to turn up & perform as well as you are able to (on the day) under often very trying circumstances.

You are already a success if you inspire those who hear you. Don 't ever let " experts " discourage you with their comments / criticisms.

I am lost for words on hearing Gabriel's beautiful voice. I humbly request the lady to sing Vissi d'arte (Tosca) in which she can surely negotiate the dynamics. (Oh yes, now I have the words. They are Bravo, Encore!)

Nice voice but wrong repertoire. She sings la Wally as if it was baroque music.

It makes her wobble. Even in O mio babbino caor, the voice is not stable in the long notes. Nowing your limits and wich repertoire to choose is part of talent.

Hope she gets an adviser soon if she wants a long career. Would be sad to loose another good voice to ignorance.

Go check Tebaldi and Callas if you want to know how this aria should sound...

As correct as part of this statement is in intent, you overlook certain dynamics factored in when presenting opera in this ever changing environment. Because this is not an acoustic opera house setting, we must create a setting and sound dynamic that is not always going to be indicative of full voiced singing. She must hold back to accomadate her very precise microphone. So consider more than a perfect coddled enovironment. Brightman at her greatest could never sing this good.

I'm not talking about quality of singing in my comparison but the fact that here we are with another nice voice with a pretty face singing the opera greatest hits to get known when they don't seem to have a clue about what's needed to honour these great pieces of music.

I know singing and voice music enough to say that this choice of repertoire is inadequate and unhealthy for her age and type of voice, street setting or microphone considered or not.

Your frustrations are in some ways shared and appreciated. Gabriel trains with world class teacher and her technique on the street is much different than the technique used in less hostile settings. Please see this for what it is and enjoy the art form presented in this unique setting.
