Problem with cities today and BMX is they kick you out of every spot that looks good telling you to go to a skate park. Well the skate park isn't free for one usually, two they don't allow bikes every day and that sucks, the park is setup for skateboarders in mind and while many ramps and rails are fun to do, they don't offer the variety and unpredictability of true street riding. Street allows you to be spontaneous and you can't predict every line. Much more fun.
